Any tips for installing aftermarket double din in a 2012?

This radio arrives tomorrow, and will be taking this task solo. I ordered from CF with all necessary harnesses, and steering adapters, etc..

Any heads up, or tips anyone can offer regarding dash removal, fitment, install, etc...

Thanks a ton. I am hoping this will push the Polks to their full potential. Beach Jam 2012!

Hope you have better luck with that radio than I did. I bought the same radio and installed it. Install was not that bad. The sound was worse then the stock radio in my opinion. Even adjusting bass, tremble and fade it sounded aweful. I endede up returning the radio and buying the kicker speakers fort soundbar. Sounds 100% better!

At first yes then I thought maybe it was the speakers. I hooked up a pair of speakers I had from my wife's jeep, Polk audio, and it still sounded bad.

Hard to believe, all Kenwood receivers I have ever installed sounded premium. They are one of the best on the market. Good clean power like Denon.

Guess I will find out soon.

Find the radio you want, and then follow this.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this Kenwood stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the Kenwood, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. Check the "Accessories" tab for compatible adapters.
iPod note: If you're going to use your iPod with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for specific iPod model compatibility with this receiver or its optional iPod adapter.

How was removing the dash? Tough? Looks like the upper part needs to be removed to get to the radio. I am doing this tonight or tomorrow.
