Question Any tips for possible new buyer?

Friend of mine is related to GM of a local dealer. Going to go meet with him to look at JKUs and possibly a Ram Express (those rebates!)..

I have 3-5K In negative equity.. Ram might be my only choice even with the employee discounts that I'm supposed to be getting.. 3250 in rebates on the ram will make a huge dent.

I digress. Any tips? What is invoice for the 2013 Sport and Sport S?

Don't be afraid to walk. Don't settle for something, get what you want.
If they don't have it in lot they can build it for you.
Tread lightly for at least 1% below invoice.
Start there and then haggle with them.
I got multiple dealers bidding against each other and saved close to 4,000 on mine.
Take your time and don't rush. If it is new, it can always be built even if your dream vehicle is on the lot now and someone else buys it, you can build another!

Know what you want before you go and about the price you are willing to pay, don't let them talk you into something else.

Ask to see the invoice and deal from there. Dont mention the trade and negative equity until you get a final price on the Jeep. Then you can haggle on the trade and add back in what you need. And whatever you do dont pay sticker price .

Everything you need to know exactly what MSRP and factory wholesale invoice are for every Wrangler model and option is here:

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...ad-161113.html

Employee discount price is 95% of invoice. It is listed on the factory invoice as "EP". Make sure you see the real factory invoice!

p.s. the same will be true for all Chrysler product invoices....

I dont understand...you said your getting employee pricing so why are you concerned with what the invoice is, they will show you when you get there...

and employee discount is different than dealership employee discount. Employee discount is Chrysler Employees which is 5% below invoice, dealership employee pricing is invoice -$750 + $75 administration fee.

If they are giving you that, rebate and incentives won't help.

Go with a rubicon. You will end up buying different gearing and spending $1500 or more to fix it.

Maybe not the best tip for someone who isn't sure whether he can afford a Sport. Lots of us would have liked to just "go with a rubicon," but not couldn't afford it!
