Any way to removes the lines from the treads

I'd like to removed the lines that are on the tread from the spare tire. Would mineral spirits work, acetone, goo gone? Has anyone done this?

I don't know how to post a pic, but here is a link. The lines are to tell the people in the facility what size they are. I guess I could rotate them too. Tire Tech Information - Tire Tread Markings
