Hey, I know this topic is really the antithesis of the whole idea of a forum, but is anybody driving a totally bone stock JK? Mine is still mod free at the moment, however I have a good excuse, I've only had it 10 days!

So, tell us about your completely stock JK and then, if you are armchair modding, what do you plan your first half dozen or so mods to be?

My armchair build so far:

Shorty Antenna (thought I'd done this but the one I got was wrong )
Side steps/bars (haven't decided which)
Mesh Grill Liners (not sure which yet)
Tinted SoftTop windows

Remember, mine is a city Jeep so no planned suspension mods or anything like that...yet (evil grin)

Mine is my DD so it's totally stock. Adding the shorty antenna if it ever shows up. My mod money goes to my Harley and SRT8 GC at the moment. The JK will have to wait a bit.

still stock - picked up 01/20/12 - 3.21/auto/16" steelies w/29" training wheels

just ordered the stubby antenna!

once i get some cash im going for new rims/tires
after that - just tint the front windows and buying tinted soft top replacements

keep'n it simple

i havent done anything to my arctic.

#1 > i flipped the mirror upside down,
#2 > rear cargo mat in
#3 > and bought the bestop saddle bag.

.

So did you do these mods or didn't you?

This is a sign of denial. One of these days you will come home with an XHD bumper and the little woman is going to say "Where'd ya get that new bumper?" and you are gonna say "What new bumper? That's always been there". :thumb:

Wow! All these GREAT replies in 30 minutes!

Mine is DD too, I still can't get over how QUIET it is. I think I'm gonna keep my stock Steelies and 29s for a while. Other cars engines and tire noise are loud compared to my stock rig.

I have the Mopar Slush Mats, not considering that a mod since the salesman gave them to me. I don't even use the driver's side one because my shoes seem to get caught when I'm using the clutch.

Keep the stock comments coming!!

Actually I did do one mod....removed the plastic cover from on top of the engine. I like to see the engine.

totally stock, picked up my sahara JKU early in December 2012 and loving every minute of it. no cash flow for mods but someday i hope to add on some blacked out rims. i upgraded to the 18" 7 spoke rims with my order so that's the most i've done to change the outer appearance. i love the rims too, not many JKs rolling around northern VA with them so it makes me feel different haha. I plan to keep mine simple though as its my DD.

I think it's impossible to get on the forum and not mod. I thought I could handle not modding but you all suck and made me do it. And I'm doing the cheap ones first.

I think you are wrong, we are free from the sickness permitting society and hiding under the labels of Normal, Uniform, and Status Quo!! Normal is a setting on a clothes dryer, Uniform is what that gal in the drive thru is wearing, and Status Quo is some bullshit left over from the 70s. Hell I will take Disco over Status Quo any day if we have to keep something from the 70s!!

My wife thought I was insane(r) for wanting new tires and wheels on a brand new Jeep. "I didn't know this was going to become a constant thing..." Guess what wife, my new wheels and tires look SICK! She pulls into the driveway the day after I got them and says "Your Jeep looks mean now!" That's right. If I wanted to drive something stock I'd buy a mini-van and just resort to being like everyone else! We swim upstream here Jeepers!
Having said that, at least you got a Jeep. Even in stock form it's way cooler than anything else.

Bah, I haven't done anything major, but within 10 days I had my locking lug nuts on, polyfill stuffed in the speakers, and my slush mats "installed". I'd have had my fuel door installed but the black aluminum ones were on backorder and sold out everywhere. Took me two weeks for that. As far as true mechanical mods or major visuals, I'm bone stock though. I'd have had quick disco's as of last weekend but that flopped and they're going back.

Mine has about 8000 miles now. Been in the mountains with it. Rolls Right for a city jeep. No mods planned yet. Thinking about 32's when the time comes to replace the tires. Rubi's come with 31's which are pretty good. It is a nice ride, just got to watch out on the expressways when it is windy.

I wouldn't call these mods, but I got:
Quadratec slush mats
Best top rear Tono Cover
Rugger Ridge Soft Top Boot
Custom Stainless Steel License Plate Covers
Came with dual tops
Locking Lug Nuts
Protector Exterior and Interior and Rust Proofing application
Best Top Hard Top Storage System

Oh - and I ordered cool vanity plates - JEEP!
