i never bought there but i did spend a good bit of time looking at their web site before i ordered my Jeep...they seem to have some GREAT deals... i actually recommended a fellow forum member look there as he lives close to me but said he was willing to travel (we're in Jersey)..
I went on their site to get the info to forward to him and i nosed around a bit
They had a 2013 JK MOAB - LOADED with $40,000 MSRP listed for $33,000 ! ! !
if there's no catch, that is a DEAL ! !

I bought an 08 JK a few years back from the Koon's franchise. It was in silver spring though off Automobile Blvd. They seemed to be nice people. I knew someone who worked high up in the company so I knew what I was paying for the jeep, what I was getting for my trade and everything. I just walked in a signed my name.

They are a big company. I would just go over there and see what you think. I didnt get much interaction with the people as I never took it there for service. To far from me. Good luck with everything!

OMG... I bought my 2009 Chrysler Town and Country there. This this was a lemon with multiple transmission issues over the course of 3 years. I actually had the service manager tell me that he was going to stop working on it and that "I should have bought a different vehicle". I didn't mind their sales staff when I bought it,and I got a great deal but I would NEVER NEVER NEVER take anything there for service. (However, as much of a jerk as the Service Manger was, the Assistant Manager there was a stand up guy who did the right thing when the transmission died on a Saturday and got me a free rental so that I could take my kids to Bush Gardens)

Good news is that I got Chrysler involved directly and they offered my a generous trade allowance above blue book at a different dealership on my '12 Rubi.

I almost bought a '12 Rubi from them - Was all over email (I'm in NYC) and they offered a good price and never pressured me. In the end I went with an even better deal closer to home.

Check out dealerrater - they seem pretty good:

Good luck!

I just purchased a fully loaded 10a from them. No real pressure to buy. The lady I worked with was named Laura I think and she was very friendly. I told her I needed to check out a dealer nearby who also had a 10a and she never put any pressure on us.

I'm still waiting on a call back from her. She promised a good deal on some XD strikes with 35" tires. So I'm still in waiting mode to see if they follow through on customer service after the sale. I'll update this thread.

I can say that they do have the best advertised prices.

we drove from NJ to pick my jeep up from Safford in Springfield, not too far from tysons. Amazing place todo business, good price and one of the smoothest transactions we have ever done (best american car buying experience)

I bought my last jeep from them but it was through USAA and there was no problem. Then I went to order my 10A through them, since I had already bought one, and they would not even budge on price. Ended up buying at Ourisman on Rt 1.

I've been dealing with Koons dealerships for many years. Primarily with their Toyota dealership, but have also spent a fair amount of time at the Jeep dealership. I am very comfortable with their service departments, where they do a good job. However, I would NEVER, ever buy from them unless the advertised deal was so far below invoice that you can't pass it up. Be careful about their add-on fees, and their $500 dealer processing fees, which many other dealers will negotiate on, and in Maryland, processing fees are capped at $200). In short, I have learned to mistrust their sales departments.

I have no issue buying my 2012 JK sport there, but their service is bad... I was schedule for mounted/balanced and TPMS transfer. Got it quoted for $90 for all five wheels, but when I came they told me a different price and re-program needed for TPMS transfer. What idiot service advisors.

My purchase experience with Koons in Tyson's Corner was outstanding. I had been checking inventory at many dealerships within a 3 hour drive of home and negotiated with several via email and phone. Koons had the best price, and they didn't play games with rebates and pricing. All the other dealerships negotiated prices assuming that you qualified for ALL the rebates, while Koons negotiated assuming you didn't qualify for any rebates. They negotiated the best bottom line price, then the rebates were applied. After I agreed to a vehicle and price (on a Tuesday), I told them I would be there on Friday (my day off) to pick it up and sign the paperwork. They said that since Thursday was the last day of the month, if I came a day earlier than planned, they'd knock off another $500 (which they did). I did all my negotiating with the Sales Manager, Tre.

When I got there, the 2013 JKU was parked out front, washed and shined, and ready to go. Tre introduced me to Tom Ames, the salesman who would handle my deal. In less than an hour and a half, I was ready to leave with all the paperwork done. Everyone I met with there was a Wrangler owner, and they sounded like the folks on this forum - knowledgable and passionate. Before I drove off, Tom said, "You know about the Jeep Wave, right?"

Bottom line is that I would buy there again without hesitation.

I liked them. I would have bought my 2012 Sahara from them had I not found exactly what I wanted (minus leather seats) and a better trade in from Farrish. It came down to simply a better deal on the tradein. But they weren't off by much.

My son purchased a 2013 JKU from Koons in late June. Excellent deal thru their sales mgr. Thomas Higgins and the finance dept. Jimmy. No problems and Quick in and out.

HOWEVER, when we contacted the GM sales team 2 weeks ago on quoting a price on a new GMC Terrain, that sales side of Koons was INSANE !!!
The GM side was crazy on their pricing, they were one hundred dollars more /month than what we leased the exact same unit for. (absolutely Ridiculous) They were in fact more than another known to be High Priced Local dealer in the Pittsburgh area , again on the exact vehicle.

I would therefore always contact them for pricing, but I believe that Thomas Higgins, sales manager does make Great Deals on the Jeep products and will purchase from these guys again.

Bought my 2014 JKU from Tom Ames @ Koon's last month. Tom is a class act and a stand up guy. Very knowledgeable and an all around great guy to work with.

I live in Richmond and went up there to look at the Jeep and ended up buying it that day. Wasn't planning on buying it so I didn't have anyone with me to drive my truck home. He said no problem so I left my truck there and he drove it down to me a few days later; he even put some gas in the truck too. That's service.

Yep, bought my JKU from Tom in June. Great dealer. Tom is a jeep guy. Koons was quite a bit cheaper than the other dealers around northern va.

Budwizer, we're neighbors. I'm right down the street from you in Short Pump/Tuckahoe...

Koons seems like a good place, I just got my quote from Tom Ames and it's far and away the best overall deal so far. The $500 dealer processing fee seems like a giant rip, but at the end of the day...OTD price is OTD price...

I sent an email to the service director and submitted bad review online. His secretary called me and apologized and asked if I can remove the review.

Ordered through Tom Ames at Koons. Great guy and couldn't have made in any easier. Gave me a great price so no negotiating was necessary!! Try them out. Bonus is that he and his family all drive wranglers

When I bought my 09 Sahara I did go there, but wound up going to the now closed down Tysons Jeep. I got a far better price there than Koons was offering. After the fact I met the people at Dulles Jeep in Leesburg. Great people, great service. All the mechs there are Jeep enthusiasts and each one of them specializes in some area of the Jeep (Ed - electrical/body), Kyle (suspensions/drive train)... I would at least give them a shot at pricing if I was ever in the market for another one (but the one I have already has about 10k in it, so it's a keeper!)
