Anyone change remote lock horn to something else?

The remote lock horn is sometimes too obnoxious for my condo late at night (echos everywhere). I know you can turn it off but I still want some feedback that it's been locked. Has anyone changed it to a chime or something else? How can I modify it? Thoughts?

You should be able to just shut the horn off and have the park lights flash on lock/unlock.

I know you can turn it off but I still want some other audible feedback that it's been locked.

Subscribed. I too am curious. I have a 13 and when I lock it manually then close the door the sentry light on the dash comes on indicating that it's armed. If the door is opened when armed the horn will in fact sound off. I would however like to change the sound from the horn. Although this may not be simple due to all the computer bs.

You can change it on the menu on your steering wheel, It will stop the horn but you can hear it lock and the lights flash

Hearing it lock is not another audible option like what the OP is after. That just turns off the horn. Another alert would be a chirp like an aftermarket alarm system.

If you want a audible signal other than the horn, you'll have to install it.

Personally, I found the CLUNK! of all the locks more than enough of an audible confirmation.

I personally want something louder than a "clunk". I wouldn't mind a beep like my wife's Yota. It's also obvious that one would have to install an audio sound.

I agree. The horn is too loud for late night, but usually the actual sound of the locks latching is more than enough for me.
