Anyone else get Dune?

Just bought a 2013 JKU Sport at the end of March. I ended up getting Dune, mostly because it had the wheels/tires I wanted as well as other options.

However I have gone from just liking the color to loving it. I have started adding little mods of black trim pieces and it looks great.( I will post some pics soon).

In the month I have had it at least 10 people have stopped me and asked me about the color and said they had never seen it and really liked it, of course they could be lying.

I have heard several on here say they hate the color so I was just wondering who else has one.

Not Dune but Sahara Tan, gassing up at Costco today had 2 guys come over to ask about the color too. When I first saw it I wasn't sure, now I love it.

I bought my Billet before Dune came out. I saw a Dune Sahara JKU about 6 weeks later and thought it was awsome! I can't afford to take the hit turing mine in for one, but yes, Dune is a great color!

I liked the Sahara Tan better, When I saw it on the site I was super excited, but in person It was a let down for me... Its like it has to much orange in it...

Got my Sahara dune 2 weeks ago and really like the color much better than what I expected. The color is much better in person than what all the photos I saw on the forum indicated.

I picked mine up at the end of March. Haven't seen another one on the road in my area yet. It's a cool color. I get a lot of comments on it.Most like it..some don't. I have yet to see a photo that does this color justice.

I really like the black grill and the black on the hood. I am trimming mine out in black. The only chrome left when I am done with be the "trail Rated" badge. I have already replaced the antenna with a short black one, put black mesh screens on the back of the grill, and swapped out for the black Jeep logo. I am even going with the black TX license plate vs the stadard one that is mostly white.

I looked at a Dune the other day, it was a bit more yellow than I was expecting. I could like it with black trim, but that looks very militaryish (I know that's not a word, but I couldn't come up with a better one). Not having served, I would feel too much like a poseur.

Got our JKU Rubi last week! Waited 6 mos to see one then ordered it, got it in 5 weeks. Wanted the sand color last year but after parking next to one the sand looks pretty bland. Here at Daytona Jeep Beach Week trying to decide on bumpers, lift, etc.

I think im almost done adding black accent to my rig. I've thought about plati-dipping the trail rated badge but haven't gotten around to it.My next purchase will probably be ACE rock rails and either the Rugged Ridge or Strike force zebra half doors. I can't make a decision on which doors to get.The doors are a bit pricey so im a little hesitant to pull the trigger.

Got one, love it! I hate the fact that it's sitting at the airport while we're in London, but that's the way it is. Next trip, Moab.

Cool My Missus ....

... Has nicknamed mine "bugsplat" on account of the colour and how some of the larger bugs I kill with it "blend in".

I had some young wise guy with a hotty on his arm walk by it on a sidewalk the other day and overheard him say to her (at a low yell so I'd be sure to hear him) "nice Jeep, but what an $&@; ugly colour".

I asked him if it was a worse colour than the dirty sneakers he was driving around in with the backside out of his pants, and if his girl enjoyed walking everywhere.

IDK, I love the "odd" colours Jeeps have had the past few years. Add to that in most cases they have been limited run colours, I could see those particular ones being more valuable down the road. Mine is in Mojave Sand which was only available for order about 10 weeks. I've been stopped so many times along the road asking about the Jeep and the colour, I usually have to build in an additional 10-15 minutes everywhere I go.......

Agree. An odd color Jeep gets attention even with very few mods.

Had a '14 Dune, traded it in for a '16 AE Mojave Sand. Love both colours, but the hood, bumpers, seat trim, and upgraded audio sold me on the upgrade.

Not from what I've heard. Jeep started taking orders for MS at the end of March and by mid June they stopped. Whatever the case, I have one and that's all that matters.
