Anyone else not particularly fond of any jeep colors?

I read 75% of all cars sold for the last 5 years are either white or silver.

The 2 are safe for resale and smart especially in hot climates. Blacked out white looks pretty good, just not real "jeep' looking to me. I've seen more silver paint oxidized than I care to admit, and again, not a real "jeep" color to my eye.

The rest are reds, oranges w/some yellow mixed in, none of which I hear "buy me".

My 08 was Jeep green, about the "Jeepest" color ever, not real smart in hot climates, as is black.

I did like the steel blue but again a bit dark, perhaps lightened up would make sense?

Don't think bright green of any shade is happening and the tan was just a bit off from somewhere it should have been.

The light color Winter Chill seems smart, but blue? How about jeep green or darker tan in the same "chill" tone except w/out the Saraha part??

Asked when buying mine "what color?", my only response was "no black or fire engine red".

I like black but keepin it clean and leaving it outside the garage is hell.

Who else is not particularly happy w/their color or any of the jeep colors?

OK, I'm bored.

I loved my rescue green,. If I didn't find a cosmos blue I would have probably waited for the gecko green. I really love my cosmos though :-D

quick question about the arctic- are the seats leather around the outside and cloth in the middle or all cloth?

as for the color question,
I do not like red (on anything) and I dont know why...

I like my orange crush but if I had known about the winter chill I would have gotten it. I am almost thinking about seeing how much money I would lose if I traded my 3 month old, 3k mile, crush in and ordered an arctic in winter chill. gotta love the orange accents in the interior on the arctic.

damn my impatience and not enough research!!!!

For less than you would lose on taxes, fees, and depreciation on the trade, you can put Louis XIV's leather-covered throne in your Jeep, or at least custom leather seats with any amount of orange you want.

I meant the trade in because of the exterior color. The interior is just an added benefit of the arctic edition that I like.

but I agree that I would probably lose A LOT of money trading in this soon.

Guess you'll just have to be really picky and get a custom paint job.

You possibly could do a cool camo paint job for less than the trade-in loss:

Too late. The Arctic edition is no longer orderable. Easy enough to find one on the lot, though. You can now order Winter Chill on other Wranglers.

Yeah, but can you still get orange stuff on the leather?

The orange stitching is part of the Arctic edition, so no on the other models, if that's what you are asking.

well, thats probably a good thing that I cant order an arctic. I really dont need to be thinking about doing crazy things like trading in a 3 month old jeep just for a different color. Orange was my 1st choice until it got bumped by the winter chill, so I am still good with my #2 choice

I'm happy that I got Naural Green in a 2012 while it was available I think it's classy looking.
The current lineup screams FUN!
Nothing worng with that, but it makes me curious to see what's next.

I'd rather not say what colors I don't like, but I wish they'd add a few colors from the GC color selection. I'd like a slate gray.

The current colors are all horrible except for the BFG which is too dark as well but at least tolerable. I'm not sure what Jeep execs were thinking with the current crop of skittles they offer now. If my Jeep were to suffer catastrophic failure then I would probably not replace it based solely on the terrible selection of colors they are offering. If I wanted skittles then I would buy a bag of them. I mourn the loss of tan and all colors of green in previous years.

I really wish Jeep had kept the bronze/metallic tan color like on the 70th Edition. That was my first choice but not offered.........so Bright White.

I agree. I'm lucky in that I generally prefer black vehicles. But, for those who don't, there are so many cool vehicle colors out there that are better that anything Jeep offers: blue/grey; dark grey; numerous rich shades of green; tan; blue/green combo, etc ...

I like the Jeep a lot better than theh FJs, but I like 100% of their color options: http://www.toyota.com/byt4/2012/fj/e...ensed_ebro.pdf

There are only a couple of the new Jeep colors I care for.

I think I would have gotten any of the early availability only colors, Natural Green, Cosmos Blue, or Sahara Tan. I missed them all while I was trying to sell my LJ. So I thought about BFG but thought it was way too dark after seeing it. Winter Chill is nice but I didn't want the badging. I ended up going with Bright White. I have never had a white vehicle before so it will be something new to me. If I end up getting sick of it, I can always get it painted flat olive drab! Doubt I would have the balls to do that to a brand new Jeep though!

yeah I don't get why olive drab and khaki are not on the permanent line up. then again, I got my mango tango, so I don't give a damn about the other colors!

Too bad Jeep is not like Audi,, with them for an extra $2500 you can have your auto painted ANY color you want from the factory! Alot of peeps feel its worth it to have the individual look..

My last 4 vehicles were silver and pretty much wash and wear. Just bought the black rubicon and must say not sure that was a good idea. I'm really picky about how my vehicles look. Looks sharp as hell cleaned up but lot more work than silver was.
