Anyone following Edmund's long term test blog?

Edmund's has their own 2012 Wrangler Sport mod project going on along with the usual long term test driving reports. Has anyone else been following this?: 2012 Jeep Wrangler Archives - Long-Term Road Tests

Edr

I found the fact that the Wrangler comes equipped with an Event Data Recorder to be an interesting note so far.

I read the one for the previous model they had but haven't had time for this one yet. Thanks for the link.

You can never have too many sources of information!

MPGs

Scott Jacob's fuel economy with 6 speed manual & 3.21 gears in quotes: "In total I drove 1,174 miles during which time I had a good mix of terrain and surfaces. During my Mojave off-roading, I averaged 14.7 mpg. During a long stretch of freeway from Tahoe back to LA, I got 21 mpg. My best tank range was 315.2 miles. For a vehicle that's shaped like a brick, and a tall one at that, I think that's pretty good. I think the new engine does make a big difference".

As soon as we catch up on bills we plan to get a second one, one JKU just isn't enough.

I think Edmunds does the best long-term road tests, but even theirs is weak at times. Someone could make a good living doing hardcore, detailed long-term vehicle testing.
