27mpg to liters per 100k - Google Search

it's something like 32mpg if we use an imperial gallon, google is your friend, my friend

if I further elaborate on it, I get about 550km on $60 of gas (gas is currently $1.29/L)

8.7/100 = 0.087 (liters per 1 km)
0.087*550 = 47.87 (liters burned per 550km)
47.87*$1.29 = $61.72 (cost of fuel to go 550km) even if I use the 9.5 liters per 100km that I see more regularly on the guage thats still $67/550km, last time I filled up from the gas light beeping at my was $72

Maybe there's something wrong with me or my jeep but this adds up to what i'm paying for gas and what the guage is telling me, i'm on my 4th tank of gas since I got it and so far the fuel milage/cost is not as bad as the dealer said it would be compared to my old car (hyundai accent 1.6L 4cly) maybe $20 more a week, daily commute of 66km, almost all highway.

I can get 20-23 on the highway with no headwinds and light traffic conditions. Ideally, I expect 18-20 though. I reset the EVIC for mpg as I entered the highway yesterday and when I pulled off the exit ramp I was sitting at 20.8 mpg.

On my last long distance trip(200 miles) I averaged around 24 mpg going around 70-75 the whole time. This is in my stock JKU staying in 6th gear most of the time. I tend not to use cruise control because it doesn't work well in the hills with a manual.

I drove around 500 miles in the last two days taking quiet roads through Northern Ontario and with cruise control mostly set at around 90-95km/h (55-60mph) in my 2013 JKU Auto with 3.73, and I got 21.4mpg for the journey. That's the best I have managed yet, and I doubt it would get much better unless I sat on an empty highway at that speed for a long period. No idea how people are going 20mph faster and getting 2-3mpg better.

I drove from Charlotte, NC to Dayton, Ohio in my 2013 Rubicon Auto w/4.10 gearing. Stock Tires and wheels and no suspension modifications. The Jeep scales at 5000 pounds with the mod's I have installed....Skids by Rock Hard, Warn PowerPlant, Rugged Ridge front bumper and Bestop rear bumper and Tie carrier, I calculated 21.5 mpg using the calculator on my Iphone. The calculator in the Jeep show an average mpg of 21.7 mpg. The Jeep only had 1500 miles on it when I started the trip. I am on the way home tomorrow and will check it again.

I think my MPG reader is broken. I was usually reading right around 21 mpg bone stock, tires at about 36 psi. Now, after airing my tires down to 30 psi, adding a 85lb front bumper AND removing the air damn, I'm netting about 22.8MPG. I guess the more mods I get, the better mileage I get!!

something strange happened last night. I recently ensured that my computer in my 13JK auto was set properly for my 37" grapplers and 3.73's. on the way home I was in a construction zone maintaining 45-60mph on a very flat highway. if anything it was slightly uphill. after 10 miles of driving I get this.

keep in mind Im on 37" nitto mud grapplers, 3.5in lift, 3.73 gears.

well knock on wood, I have a brand new 2013 JKUR, 5 speed auto & 3.73 gears, that I got from Patrick & Sean at Fields Jeep in IL, I had a couple of low MPG (14.5-17.x) fill ups, but I was driving into a head wind of up to 25mph. I fill up outside of Golden Co and then again in Del Norte Co and those 2 tanks got me 20.4 & 20.3 by my iPhone app "Gas Buddy", but the computer showed 20.9 & 20.5

It's doable! I was in a snow storm traveling around 40mph with 4hi. I was getting almost 26mpg. 33" & 4:10 gears. I had a tail wind of 30-40mph!

2011 Sahara, 3.73, 75/25 split highway/city, 18" stock tires 21.5mpg average on summer blend. But I typically run at 55 on the highway and speed limit in city (I love driving my Jeep so I'm never in a hurry).

Drove it new from Chicago to Minneapolis on Monday. Mostly highway speed, but had to sit in that darn construction in Chicago....

23.3 MPG by the time I got home. Beats out 21.2 on my 05 WK that was following.

I think these must be big reasons I'm over 20mpg in a JKU and my wide over 21mpg in a JK

For s&g's I tried this method driving to work the last two days. Super light on the throttle and not zooming off the line. (Sorry Chopper!)

I was able to goose the number from 17.3 to a high of 17.5

All city commute driving with one 1/2 mile open stretch.

Update: I now have the 33x1050 and the 2.5 lift. Did a little road trip over the weekend (50 miles of hwy) rest off road. Mpg dropped to 22mpg going 65, mostly flat land @ 2200 feet. City dropped from 20 down to high 16's. I'm a light foot. My days of hammering the throttle are long gone

2011 6 speed 3.21 with the 17" wheels and tires off a Rubicon. My on board computer says I average 15.5 most of which is on the HWY. I will be figuring this next tank myself to check for accuracy.

On the highway, yes, I can get even higher than that if the road is flat. The key is the road being flat. That can make a big difference.

I love these...always a good time. =) My last tank was almost 18 mpg even - naturally, the EVIC said about 19 mpg. As others have remarked, it is optimistic and disappointingly so. I did some more modest driving and got up to around 18.5-19 mpg for a minute...but, it never lasts. I can manage 18-18.5 pretty consistently with a 3" lift and some bits of armor...interested to see what bigger tires will do eventually.
