you boys and girls definitely need a diesel.
I might buy one of the diesel tuning boxes that simply plugs into the diesel rail. Supposedly 10 or 15%more mpg or they will refund your cash.
I was about to call bullsh!t till I saw it was a diesel. Yup. we definitely need one

Should have got a civic if you wanted gas mileage.
And no.. There is no magic upgrade that makes a shoebox on wheels get better mileage.

Most are just trying to get you going. Looks like they succeeded.

I am about 6 tanks of gas into my 2012 JKU, and tracked every tank and mile with Gas Cubby iPhone app. I have gotten a consistent 19.9 to 20.9 MPG since. Granted, I'm driving pretty gently on some rural roads, averaging 40 miles per hour or so. Coincidentally, the EVIC has been surprisingly accurate. I know most people have reported that their EVIC's estimation is way off. BTW -- at just 2700 miles, I think I'm starting to detect the tick of woe..... ;-(

In a nutshell ... because they're idiots, duchebags and the like who don't play well with others. It stimulates their feeble minds to antagonize people they don't know from behind the relative safety a keyboard.

I have been getting 19mpg mixed after I changed the oil with Royal Purple. I was getting 16.7 mixed before that. I could prolly get close to 21 mpg if I babied it on the highway.

According to Fuelly, I've done 26 fillups (lost 2 receipts on a road trip) 6 of those being 20mpg or better, 1 @ 21 and 1 @ 21.8

Not too bad I guess. I remember I was happy when my TJ hit 16

I read people talking about their gas mileage. I know I wasn't complaining about it. I get better MPG in my Jeep then I did in my SRX.

If you don't like the discussion, then you might be better served by find another thread.

If you were not complaining then my post does not apply to you. The point is these are Jeeps. Jeeps and good fuel economy do go together and people that by a jeep and complain about not getting good gas mileage should not have bought one.

The point is that people buy things for different reasons; jeeps included. Maybe it's more about things not being as they were represented.. Either way, people shouldn't abuse others for discussing Jeep related items. Again, maybe you should find some other threads to occupy your time.

I don't think they are complaints, I was surprised at fuel average of 19.2 close to sticker. Really could care less I thought I would be getting close to 15 mpg. I guess that Pentastar was a good upgrade and worth waiting an extra year for break in period.

Saying "you should have bought a Prius" is as annoying and retarded as saying "it's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand."

Look...I'm just pointing out these things are not fuel sippers. You post your opinion...I am posting mine. I just think its ridiculous to buy a vehicle that known for poor fuel economy and then gripe about it. Sure we all wish they got better mileage but they don't. It is what it is.

You are more likely to start a flame war with those words. That's a Jeep owners motto.

You should have done a little research before you bought a gas guzzler.

Good gas mileage out of a jeep is like a vegetarian lion.

you must be the only person on the planet who ever bought something and found one or two things about it that you would like to be better. If you get a minute, please tell everyone how you go thru life liking EVERYTHING you've ever bought without one tiny complaint

Better yet. Sell your jeep and buy a "insert economy car here" then go out to your local trail and cry when you get stuck.

I generally don't complain about things I know about in advance. Buying a jeep and complaining about poor gas mileage is like voting for Obama and complaining about Obama care.
