Anyone Have A Bug Deflector

Just wondering if anyone had a bug guard on their hood and if it really helps keep the bugs off the windshield? I can wash mine and within an hour of driving it I cant hardly see out of the windshield.

Dude- cory, this post is in the JK forum. Won't work, amigo
The bug deflectors DO work, and the JK's are awful in terms of bug-genocide. They DO cause a slight drop in fuel economy, but it is usually negligible- Mark W.

I need one also!!!! I had no idea there is such thing, thank you so much for the information, I learn something new everyday...
I will search for one, hopefully I will also find one in this beautifull country of mine... today I just bought some stuff especially for that (a window cleaner with a sponge and net on one side and rubber on the other and with a liquid recipient acting as a handle... will do the job until I get the deflector)

So where does a bug deflector actually deflect the bugs too?

The bug deflector changes the air stream and deflects the bugs over the top. They really do work because we have one on our truck and it decreased the amount of bugs on the windshield. The only problem with it is that it changes the windshield washer spray when trying to clean your windshield driving down the road. Dont know how it will affect the jeep but I've been looking for one. At one time I rememember seeing bug sheilds that were clear and you could paint them on the inside to match your color or what ever color you wanted. They look really cool, gives a nice glossy look that wont dull or scratch...
