Anyone have ACE inner fenders?

G'day mates! I was splashing in some puddles today and ended up picking up a bit more mud than I thought. My JK currently has flat fenders and no inner fender (it was likely removed when the 33s and fenders were put on). This threw an alarm in my head, as I don't want to get the innards of the engine bay all caked up when I go wheeling. I am about to pull the trigger on some ACE Inner fenders - https://www.quadratec.com/p/ace-eng...07-16-jeep-wrangler-and-wrangler-unlimited-jk

Is anyone currently running these? Any rub issues when disconnected? This is my main concern and can't find much out there in regards to any run issues. Thanks in advance!!

I have the ACE inner fender liners paired with my Poison Spyder fenders as well. I had them mounted without fenders for a couple of weeks prior to installing the PS fenders. During the time I was drove without fenders, the liners never touched the spring perch. Once I paired them with the PS fenders then I had to trim a small section because it made contact with the top of the spring perch. It took 10 seconds to trim it with a cutting wheel.

I really like the ACE fender liners as a stand alone product and the install was very simple. The difficulties began when I paired them with a different manufacturers product (PS fenders). I read dawhitesJKU install review on them so I knew what to expect (thanks for the write up). I do not have any rattles and they are mounted with the fenders now.

I also installed the small fender liner that covers the gap near the doors. Now that was a challenge to pair the PS fenders and that small liner. PS fenders use a bracket that is mounted in that area and I eventually had to make a template from cardboard and use that as a guide as I trimmed the small liner to fit with the metal bracket. I probably mounted & remounted my front fenders 5 times to do test fits. I looked at it as a challenge so it did not bother me. I know it isn't ideal for a lot of people.

Thanks for the reply! That gave me some reassurance. I think my flat fenders will serve me for a while and fender upgrades are low on list at the moment. I just need to keep grime, mud etc out of my engine bay for the time being and they seemed like the best solution. I'll try to post back after I get them installed and just comment on the firmament for anyone else looking!

I got these installed yesterday. Super easy install for the most part. I did end up just using the 4 included self-tapping screws (2 on each side) and they give me the impression that they will hold up fine for now.

One thing to mention is that the "self tapping" was essentially useless in my experience. I prepunched the divots so the screws wouldn't walk like the instructions say (YouTube video, no instructions were actually included), but these had trouble going through the metal and would foul the flanges on the tapping screw before going through. I ended up just drilling the holes with a 3/16 bit and we were able to drive them right in securely.

I did like the "open" look of my fender wells, so wasn't sure how I would like the look of these, but I am overall happy with them and feel like they'll provide some shielding for rocks, mud etc.

Whether or not they will rub with 33s at full flex, time will tell. Lots of rain here at the moment, but it looks like they sit inside and are angled enough that I won't see any rub. If I have any issues I will comment back and update this thread.

I also have the ACE fenders and I'm really happy with them. The install was real simple and I have no problems with running or anything. ACE claims they are compatible with the majority of the flat fenders available. The only two exceptions I know about is the PSC fenders as one of the previous posters stated and the Bushwackers. I had to trim the bushwackers down due to it overlapping the inner fenders which prevented me from getting the fender she flush with the body panel. You can see in the picture where the overlap is (top right corner).

Have the ace liners with my Poison Spyder flares which Ace claims they fit but you have to do some cutting where the PS flare side light goes for them to properly fit. Took a few hours of trimming and grinding and loosening the PS flares up for them to fit. Real pain in the ass deal. Now that they are fitted no rubbing. I also did away with the cheap self tap screws Ace says, mount them with and did, proper bolts with nylock nuts.

Before I had the Ace liners I bought Crawler Concept liners. They are much much nicer but due to the way they mount the absolutely will not work with fend flairs that mount like the Poison Spyder flares.
