Anyone have any issues with Pro Comp aluminum wheels?

I am seriously thinkiong of ordering a set of Pro Comp aluminum wheels for my Wrangler. Wheel model 7089 to be specific. Has anyone had any issues with Pro Comp aluminum wheels? These are the Cast Blast black wheels.

Can't say I know much about the 7089 but I do own the 1069s. They are junk, the finish lasted only about a month. I've been able to clean up some of the white oxidation but not all. After months of trying, I'm having a friend paint them.

People may hate me for this but I find ProComp's stuff to be very hit and miss on quality, and forget about customer service you won't find any.

All this being said, I work with two other people who run the 1069(or at least some variation by procomp that looks similar). Neither put a lot of TLC into them, but one set looks pristine almost right out of the box, the other looks just like mine.

Also the Procomp locking nuts I got rusted over in 3 months and the key they gave me had a crack all the way down the side. I was able to obtain a new one for free from the shop I bought it from.

Their chrome-plated wheels didnt last on my old truck. Maybe that is to be expected with canadian winters. I guess some people take them off in the winter, but i never did. Every wheel ive bought since then has been teflon or black. Running xd addicts now and they still look good after first winter.

I'd like to add mine looked terrible even before they first met the dreaded road salt.

Pro Comp Black Aluminum Wheels

I have a set of Pro Comp Series 7005 and they look awesome. I have had no problems with them what so ever. Knock on wood.

More of a truck brand for everything suspension wise but I'm with ESP on saying all I've heard is bad things too.

I have had a set of pro comp 7036 hel dorrado's on for about a year, matte black. They still look brand new. The wheels along with the pro comp xtreme terrain tire look great and balanced out well.
