Anyone run any shade/net combos similar to this?

Hello,

Well I've decided it's time to buy some netting for my Jeep so my german shepherd pups can come with me for some rides.

I think I am going to go with the following:

Dirtydog 3 piece cargo netting for rear:

Dirtydog 4X4 Jeep Accessories - Netting for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK 3pc kit 2007-up rear**- Color: Black

Spiderweb Shade bikini for driver/passenger:

JK4D | SpiderWebShade.com

Jammock for back seats:

JammockBlack (will ship on August 24th) | Jammock: It's a hammock for your Jeep!

I think this will provide me the best of all worlds. I get functional sun coverage for the driver/passenger, moderate coverage for the back seats (AND A HAMMOCK!), and cargo netting for the rear to keep the pups secure.

Anyone run anything similar?

I ran raingler in my TJ that are similar to the dirty dog and they worked good for my lab. Pups might be able to get between the net and the edge of the tub and sneak out. Cannot help on the rest.

I run the spiderweb shade top and cargo shade. Love it. My lab loves it. Even with shade on top he would still get hit with sun. Not anymore.

Motion-tek 3pc cargo nets with spider shade. Perfect fit no mods needed to work together. The motion-tek netting was twice the quality I was expecting.

That's a very cool setup. I wasn't sure if I'd like to run netting over the shades, it looks good but seemed like more then was needed.

I also am not a huge fan of the 4 door spiderweb shade as it's one piece. I like the looks of the two piece shades better that have a break between the soundbar. Picky I know but to each their own =)

Not to hijack the thread, but don't those nets make sh*t ton of noise when you're traveling @ highway speeds? I would imagine they flap and flutter like crazy. I was considering the Smittybilt C.Res system but was concerned about the racket they might make. Thanks!

I have the DirtyDog setup. I got the full 5-piece from ExtremeTerrain. There are very small gaps by the rear door on the side window. Your dogs shouldn't be able to fit through. My 45lb sharpei/basset can't. She does like to stick her head through the holes in the net, though.

I run the whole setup under my Trektop.

They also make a nice divider for behind the front seats. Keeps the pup from trying to shift gears for me.

i run the reverse combo as stated earlier in this thread.

it was a picture of the safari straps over the spiderwebshade.

My spider shade is over my straps.

I might reverse it next year.

its a vid about tube doors, but you will see me show the roof and straps.

My nets make ZERO noise. They are a tight fit. I suppose the cheap one piece nets make noise. That's why I purchased the high quality ones.

I run the full length spiderwebshade and the only noise that I have issue with is the mesh vibrating against the soundbar when I listen to music with a lot of bass. (Easily fixed with some extra padding on top of the soundbar)

I don't have the dirtydog netting but I do run the 2 piece shade for my jku and I love it. Very high quality product and looks great too. I went with the white on white after talking to Mike at dirtydog. I was a little worried it would be too much, but I absolutely love it.

The shade is a spider web shade from them. The cargo nets are from Motion-Tek they sell 1/2 or full roof also a smaller web like 1" and thicker 1 and a half inch I got the full and the 1 and a half inch. The doors are Body Armor you can get from Quadratec or 4 wheel parts.
If you do this be prepared for people taking pics of your Jeep while you drive down the road and everywhere you stop people wanting to talk to you about your Jeep. LMAO! But it's true.
