Anyone running the wild boar rack?

Was wondering if anyone was running the wild boar rack and could offer any feedback? It looks pretty solid and easy to go up and down with the top without having to take the rack apart. I was wondering if it's that easy to do? AND does it whistle or cause any issues if you're running with the top down. Love to see some photos with your top down so I could see the rack. (he, he)

I looked at roof racks at one point, and narrowed it down to these two (I wasn't concerned about drilling into the Jeep if necessary...that's what silicone sealant is for ):

Garvin Wilderness Racks

Gobi was another one that I really liked...Alec at EAD Offroad here on the forum can give you info about their setup.

Some links to threads from JKF:

This one deals mainly with the Gobi racks, but there's some info on the WB, as well: Choosing a cargo rack - Gobi or Wild Boar

If you read all this, you'll have a degree in JK Rackology. Not a master's or a PhD, but a solid foundation of roof rack knowledge.

I have a Wild Boar on a 2dr 2008, if I could change one thing I would like it to open to the side (JKUs open to the side) instead of to the back. Other than that it has served me well.

I will be getting my WB Fastback Rack installed this Friday at Wild Boar! From what I've read, the installation is where things go awry (failing to seal, missing fasteners) so this way I bypass the most problematic portions of the rack. From all accounts, the actual rack is a great piece and LOVE that the lines will flow with my Trektop NX (which by the way eliminated the MBRP rack above). The ability to run with a hardtop, soft top and no top makes the Fastback a great choice for me. As for the drilling, I actually like that I don't have the pipes extending below the taillights. Makes it look cleaner, IMHO.

Also, if I was in the market for a hardtop only rack, Front Runner would be a no-brainer. Absolutely bomb-proof and aluminum. Truly a great design IF you intend to run a rack with a hardtop or no-top.
