Sam_b, sorry to hear about the head problem. Did you have any noticeable signs prior to the engine light coming on (other than the reported ticking)? I have 16,000 miles on my arctic and so far no problems. I do get an occasional puff of smoke when my jeep is first started in the morning.

On a different topic, have any of you Arctic owners put in Katzkins leather covers? I'm close to ordering some but wanted to get a sense for what the black leather looks like with orange stitching (to match original Arctic seats and steering wheel stitching). Seems like it would look good but would be great to see a picture first.

Got my JCR Dagger stubby and Engo 10k winch installed. Went with Anthracite powder coating for the bumper. Felt like it matched the the whole winter chill Arctic theme pretty well. I love how it has turned out so far.

I didn't have anything at all, not even the ticking. The engine light came on and that was it. Thanks for the concern. I have the Jeep back and so far its all good!!

Thanks khickeyman. I struggled with wheel/tire selection. I finally went with Rugged Ridge because they are hub centric (not a big deal), and you don't see them as often as other popular brands. I also went with the goodyear 315 duratrac because it had great reviews for DD. Note: goodyear currently has a rebate on the tires, and rr has a rebate on the wheels.

I have seen a couple instances on this forum of some Arctic owners having their seats rip at the seems...I was hoping to hear from some of those members about how that turned out? Was it covered under warranty? I just noticed a small spot where mine is ripping...grrrrrr.

Hello all- I wanted to chime in on the Arctic seat rips. I had my front drivers seat bolster seam completely tear open about three inches wide. My jeep had approximately 2,000 miles on it. The dealer took photos and had the seat back replaced with no issue under full warranty. The only problem was the seat cover took six weeks to come in from the vendor directly. Subsequently in the fall my drivers seat bottom cushion had the seam tear and I went through the same drill with the photos and waiting for this seat bottom fix. All is well now no issue with the seat. The dealer told me he heard reports of other Arctic seats having this same problem, i was glad the fix cost me nothing and was very painless.

My best
PJ

6 weeks? U mean I have to wait that long? Wow. At least it's covered. Just in time to take the top off. (Hopefully).

6 weeks seemed long to me as well but it was worth it. The new seat looked great. I now treat the seats regularly with 303 protectant just to prevent any other potential rips or tears. Good luck

Where are the tears occurring? I have seat covers on mine. Maybe I should check.

I was driving next to a Winter Chill 4 door Arctic today. It was driven by a lady who did not bother to wave back. Stiill......I really, really, Winter Chill Arctics. Love that color...

My wife doesn't wave because she said "I don't want some strange man following me home"

When I first bought my Jeep I waved at every Wrangler. Fast forward 6 months, I have basically given up waving at 4 door jeeps with women drivers. Not being sexist.... just tired of being ignored or getting funny looks.
