You can see out more of the rear window so you have a better view of what's going on behind you. It also gets the mirror out of your line of sight through the front windsheild if you are a taller driver.

Honestly, pictures are not going to show nearly as much as if you just turned the mirror the next time your in your Jeep and see the difference for yourself. It literally takes under a second to flip the mirror.

Ahhh. Sorry. I was at work by 0330 today. For some reason in my sleepy stupor I thought you needed to remove the mirror and rearrange it. Haha.

Thanks man. I love the white. I always get white vehicles. But I did see a winter chill Arctic in person on Sunday. Pictures don't do it justice.

I thought about taking my badges off. The only ones I don't particularly care for are the footprints but I decided to keep it the way it is for originality. Especially since they did a quick run for Winter Chill for the other models so that brings down some of the originality of the Arctic (even though I have white).

Why not just send them to him if you're not gonna use 'em? I can think of several instances where forum members have paid it forward to other members - Phishe, for example, replaced his Infinity speakers and then sent them to Daggo. I thought that was an especially nice gesture. In my own case, Vasyl has helped me out with my "Little Jeep Dudes" emblem.

That's my completely unsolicited suggestion .

It was a bit of a tedious process, as I didn't fully remove the calipers. They are attached to the bracket by only 2 bolts, so I removed the top bolts and loosened the bottoms. I then pulled the calipers away from the rotors, then re-tightened the bottoms (as to keep tension off of the brake lines). I masked everything else off, then applied about 3 light coats and 2 medium coats of paint (about 1 & 1/3 cans). Didn't know how the bright red would look against the Winter Chill, but I'm really satisfied with the results. It isn't a perfect match to the red Rubicon shocks, but it provides a nice contract to blacked out wheels & bumpers.

All of the Arctic Editions were equipped with "Performance Suspension," which (from what I understand) translates to the Rubicon suspension package, sans the electronic sway bar disconnect.
