Too, too quiet... By the looks of them I thought they'd sing at least a little bit, but nothing.

Cool, I dont mind a little noise but, they look like they could be fairly loud.

Have you had any problems with the Duratracs?

Thanks

I have had duratracs on my JKU soft top and switched them to my JKU hard top. They are not as quiet as stock, but not as loud as say MT's. They do have a low pitch hum that I fond soothing. Around 80 mph they do resonate slightly but still a nice even tone. I love my Duratracs. I have 10k miles on them so far and they look like I just bought them. 10 ply does make them stiff though on road driving.

I take it that they have better rolling resistance that MT tires as well.

Mine have a very slight hum that got even quieter when I aired them down a bit. I kinda like it actually.

Do they offer them in a 35, im really up in the air between duratracs, km2s, and discoverer stts. Ive ran the stts and they are an awesome tire everywhere, but I also want a tire thats gonna last a while since I will be dropping 1200 bucks on 4 of them. If the duratracs are as good in mud as everyone says, I may be going with them.

Apply for the GY credit card and get an additional $80 off. Promotion starts 3/8/11 so I was told.

Just put them on my grand cherokee. Definitely louder than stock, but really not bad. More vibration too. Again not bad. They chew thru the snow really nice.

I did that and it was easy to get but what I found was the places that took a GY credit card had prices that were way more then the discount. Not many places except the card and it was more specialty tire shops and they were extremely expensive at least around were I live. The GY tires I got were $55 cheaper (thats per tire) at Sears then the cheapest place I found that excepted the GY credit card

I got quoted $210 ea plus tax. After all the discounts I'm almost to the same price as ordering on line and having them mounted. Plus the perk of free balance and rotation for life. The GY credit card interest is 29% so I'm just using it instead of cash to take advantage of the discount and then pay it off.

I've had them on my jeep for about six months.... Love the look feel and quiet hum I get from them. Combine those with the bestop trektop on the unlimited and it de. Makes it look a little tougher

Just put them on couple of weeks ago-not quite the silent ride of a regular hi way tire, but not loud/noisy-slight hum at certain speeds which is normal for tire with that tread design

I think so, check the tire sites to verify. Gotta tell you tho', we just spent $1078.00 on 4 Kumho KL71's, out the door with road hazard for the Rubi. Got a sweet deal on them at Sears of all places... 315/70/17's. Let you know how they are when we get them. He wanted something more aggressive than the Duratracs. Hope he doesn't regret it. But I have it on good authority that they are very good tires too...

Tires are expensive.... The Rubi will probably keep her stock spare. Just because.

'Rita's spare makes her butt look big........

Thanks IG! I was actually looking at those last night on discount tire and they look pretty mean.

If you are close to arkansas Ill give you one of my procomp xtreme terrain 35s to use as a spare when i mount new tires. I traded a cat for these because i wanted to move from 33s to 35s. The rear tires have atleast 50% tread but the front are at about 20%. Im gonna be using one of the rear ones, you can have the other.

Cool! Are they 17"s? I'm only about an 1.5hrs from Ft. Smith here in Muskogee, OK where I'm visiting family. I could swing by on my way back home.

As Tr3yngler mentioned..... We'll probably take you up on that... He's close enough to pick it up, and you can talk 35's on JK's for a few.... He's missing out on his Jeepin' time lately, I do believe..

"Missing out"... You thinking that because I've suddenly skyrocketed my post count from 313 up to 319? That is a huge increase.
