Are you happy with Pentastar and how many miles has your Wrangler gone.
I have ordered a 2012 rubicon unlimited and have become increasingly concerned about issues people are having, leaks, etc. So what I would love to know, who is happy with their purchase? Would you do it again? Any major issues ? How many miles? Any info would help me decide wether I should buy. Ordered Jeep Nov 14. Thanks to all that respond.
Only 1000 miles and loving it! I agree with Foo, go to any forum and you will find out the problems with a particular vehicle. I had an F-150 4wd before the Jeep and I have seen lots of posts about several problems I never had. All brands of vehicles have some issues now and again, I dont think Jeep is any different than the rest, but I really dont see the new Jk as a problem child. Just my .02,
1500 miles and loving it! I got the jku sport, already hoping my next Jeep is the Rubicon in 10 years or so. No problems whatsoever other than it's my new obsession and all my extra spending money is going into mods.
I really like they JC pentastar motor. I had one bless my 3.8L with pentastar oil and lay it's control arm on mine and my 3.8L got 20hp and was healed.

I have just hit 1400 miles. I have a 2012 JKU Rubicon. I went from high end luxury vehicles prior to owning this Jeep. I have no regrets at all. I just got back from trip from Chicago to St Louis. The jeep handled and drove great. My total trip was about 600 miles. The acceleration on the highway was great and so was the ride. Very comfortable and just a blast to drive. I got about 15.7 MPG on the highway. I would defiantly recommend buying a 2012 JKU Rubicon. If your looking for a great honest and straight forward dealer/salesman go to Fields Jeep in Northfield IL and ask for Pat O'Donnell.
3800 miles. No issues with engine or leaks. Not too happy with the automatic transmission. It tends to NOT downshift and lug. Switch to hold on 3 around town mostly.
I haven't noticed any such problems with mine. I find it is one of the smarter shifting auto transmissions I have driven actually. The hilly road up to my house caused my previous three cars automatic transmissions to hunt between 2nd and 3rd and this one stays plugged right in 2nd until the hill levels out. No doubt the 4:10 ratio has some impact, but it seems like it knows when to shift in every scenario so far to prevent lugging.
You might not be inadvertently tapping the shifter perhaps without noticing? It took some practice for me to keep my hands off the stick. The design of the gate for the "tiptronic" style manual shift is not the brightest I have seen and it very easily pops into a lower gear if you aren't careful.
