Armrest / dash pad

I have a 2010 unlimited and I noticed that the armrest on the center console is super low. I found an armrest pad from quadratec that mounts on top of the factory console. Has any purchased this or have any recommendations?

Also was looking at the daystar dash pad that goes in top of the radio. Does any body else have one??

Thanks

I have the quadratec armrest pad and love it as well. I have a daystar dash "caddy" that replaces the factory piece that's over the radio. I wouldn't call it a "pad" tho.

I have the dash caddy and love it. It's perfect for your phone, pocket knife, pack of smokes, can of snuff. Snaps right in place where the factory dash was, just have to mount the compass underneath. Very easy

There is a quadratec that has an ugly black steel bracket. There is another that uses the four small screws in the console sides. The one with the big steel brackets looks like shit

Was it difficult to install? What do you mean by"mount the compass underneath"?

There's an article in the new Off Road Adventures 4Wheel Parts magazine on how to install it. You just use a small flat head screw driver and pop off the cover. Then under the cover there is a module that you unscrew. Then remove the four clips and reuse them in the daystar unit and screw the module in the new unit. Then it just pops back in place.

It will take about five minutes to install and is worth every penny. To install you remove the for screws in your current arm rest slide the new one over top and reinstall the screws.

I too have the dash caddy. It's perfect for your phone, sun glasses, etc. It is a very handy addition, and easy to install.

Yes the compass is attached to the dash. The older versions the compass was attached to the panel, so when you removed the panel you had to unscrew it and reattach it to the new Daystar one.

I'd get that Daystar thing if it didnt have their logo on it-that just ruins it for me. I just like stuff to look stock, and having a center arm rest on top of a center arm rest doesnt look right. Truthfully the drivers side "armrest" is a bigger annoyance for me.

Nice thing about the daystar that it is only $22.00. So if it get annoying no big loss! I've spent more money on way more stupid stuff that wasn't a 5 min or less fix!!

I have the dash kit (camo) and love being able to store stuff up there. You need to find some type of grip pad for the bottom of the tray or stuff will slide around. Great buy for the $.

So could someone post a picture of their actual arm rest installed? The grey doesn't appear to match in the stock quadratec pictures.

Also, it looks like Rugged Ridge must make them for Quadratec. The RR pictures appear to match colors better.

Is the Rugged Ridge arm rest exactly the same as the quadratec one minus the logo stitching?
