I did not. I also have yet to see one that was worth the time I took to read it, sadly. I am becoming more of a JK fan every day, but I wish the hype would die down and people would post more tech.

I understand it. They're excited about the new powertrain and as such, I think we'll see a lot of Jeep n00bs in the next few months, finally lured to the Wrangler by the new engine and trans. Personally, I didn't need more power to make my decision, the 3.8 does what I need it to do. The 4 sped auto is bearable, but not ideal, which is why I optioned for the 3.73 gear.

But I will say this: We're all Jeep brothers and sisters, remember that before you look down on somebody, or badmouth the Jeeps that came before yours. Respect the history. The morons that crap (I don't mean those that just don't like it, that's fine) on the JK are already bad enough, we don't need JK guys doing it to each other.

I have always liked the TJ, some TJ owners, not so much. I originally owned a CJ and never could get comfortable with the YJ. The TJ was once again a "real Jeep" to me and not just because of the headlights. When my neighbor brought home a TJ Rubicon, it was time to start thinking about Jeeps again.

Hehe your a teenage girl John?

And Ik barrie shut down this one thread that I had a really funny comment on ;( but he does his job and I respect him.
I agree with Ageless, we need more tech, I would like to see more detail to exactly ways and reasons the new engine/drivetrain helps and what kind of potential it allows. I have read some but the real stuff is far between the garbage.

Yeah no kidding. First thing that came to mind was the very old joke after seeing the family pets lick themselves. "If I could do that....."

I have noticed the JK subforum is conspicuously missing threads about "How do I turn off the dome lights when my doors are off????". This is a nice consolation.

I remember when I bought my TJ Rubicon I took so much crap from the "built, not bought" morons that I started listing it as a Wrangler with the "U package" in my signature. Conversely, there were Rubicon owners who would ask if the cold air intake that someone bought for his Sahara would also work on a Rubicon. One guy didn't think his Rubicon was actually a Wrangler at all.

I imagine at some point, I'll refer to my new ride as a post-2011 for much the same reasons.

I thought a Rubicon was a Decepticon team. And I always thought a Rubi was something Scoobi Doo said. "Scoobi-rubi-doo!"

No, the Rubicon is an obstacle that even a Prius can cross.
