At home projects to my JK

Hey guys,

This is my first post and my first wrangler. I have the 4door hard top 09 unlimited. It's 2x4 and I wanted to ask if anyone new any easy additions I could do to my jeep. So far I put procomp wheels with 33KO on it.... My first project was the other day and I just matched my spare to my pro comp wheels. I love working on the car so I made a self lift in my garage. I just put four hooks in the ceiling and then four rachette to raise each corner. I threw a Bikini top on my jeep now.

Are there any other easy projects I can do to my jeep?

If there is one thing about jeep owners, we love to work on our rides. The more projects you do, the mechanically inclined you become. That makes doing next level projects easier. If you look on the Quadratec web site they indicate the level of difficulty and what the project entails. Sometimes you can even look at the instructions on the web site to see if you can do it yourself.

My rock rails were pretty easy, as well as my bumper and windshield mounted kc130 lights

I had two come to mind. One is removing the grill and placing a screen on the backside. The screen can be bought at home depot or lowes and attaches with zip ties and zip tie anchors on the back side of the grill.

The other would be removing the carpet and herculining the floor of the tub if you can live without carpet. This would be great if you plan to run topless alot. It would make cleaning the interior easier as well as easier to drain water when it gets wet. The kit runs about $100.

There are threads detailing both processes if you are interested.

Edit: Forgot another important easy one. I've seen a ton of posts about rust on the undercarriage. You could get some POR15 and coat the undercarriage just to be safe. Shouldn't cost too much either.

Send a message via AIM to Irongrave
find a 4wd trans and a rubicon t-case and get a real front axle under it. may take the better part of a weekend or too but then you'd have a 4x4 jeep
