Auto transmission question

1. Is anyone noticing a harsher than normal shift out of first gear to second?
2. Is it normal for the 42RLE to do this? Every other gear seems fine, rather normal. But the shift from first to second seems a bit screwy and the only other time I feel the trans shift is on torque lock up.
3. When I hammer down, it seems to shift smoother then it does when I granny it.

Anyone notice this? Or can help me diagnose? Thanks

You have to start by scanning it. See if there are any codes. The computer could be bumping up line pressure for one reason or another. When it does the 1-2 shift is most noticeable.
