Automatic Lights? Power Convenience Group?

I haven't been able to find a clear answer on this. I'm shopping and I am perfectly happy with a Jeep Sport, roll up windows and whatnot is fine by me. Except, manual lights... I continuously forgot to turn off my lights on my last car and had to replace the battery a few times, I know, I'm an idiot, but that's not going to change anytime soon.

What model Jeep do I need to get so that it has auto lights? Wen I say auto-lights I just mean lights that turn off by themselves when the car is off after a short period. Is this part of the Power Convenience Group? Do I need to go to a Sport S? On the website's Build & Price, the details for Power Convenience does not mention headlights. Does the default Sport do this? Do I gotta go Sahara?

Thank you for your help!

All I can tell you is it's not part of the Power Convenience Group.
I recently took delivery of my 2016 JKU Willys which I ordered with the PCG. It has powered windows, door locks, & mirrors... auto dimming rear view mirror... heated side mirrors... alarm and remote.

But they come Standard on the 2016 Rubicon.

I have a '15 Sport S with power group and it does not include automatic headlights. I believe Sahara's and Rubicons come with them. I had auto headlights in my old Grand Cherokee and it was nice, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. It will chime if you leave the lights on as you get out of the vehicle, it's not hard to remember to turn them off.

Wait, so all Sahara's have this? I ordered a 2016 Unlimited Sahara but didn't see the auto headlights on the standard equipment list. I ordered 4/22 so I'm still in the waiting game for it to be built and shipped.

heres the problem I keep running into: no doors=no chime
several times my friends have walked into an establishment and chided the ahole who left the lights on in his jeep, and how they can always casually reach in and turn them off.

this 10 minute thing would explain why my battery hasnt died yet, as I dont always have those guardian angels

Depending on what other options you have you just have to rummage through your settings on the dash. I changed mine to turn off 10 seconds after I close my door or something to that extent. One of the first things I did because the lights being on for so long afterward really irritated me too.

Thanks guys! So many helpful responses. This really helps me with shopping. I know it's a silly little feature but it's a biggie for someone as absent minded as myself. I think I'm leaning towards a used Sahara over a new Sport now.

Appreciate it and can't wait to become an official jeep driving member of this great community! You guys rock!

I'm pretty sure lights on all new jeeps turn off after 10 min or so. My Willys is built off a sport and it will turn the lights off. It will also turn off dome lights if left on.
