Axle Seals under warranty?

I've noticed my rear axle seals have started to leak. I could do this job but would rather save the hassle and some bucks if it is under warranty. Anyone know if they fall under the drivetrain 10yr/100,000?

The dealer should cover it. My dads 08 went in for its 5 year warrenty inspection and they found the rear axel seals leaking and fixed it under warrenty, allthough they did charge for a diff fluid change.

Thanks Coastiejohn...I just hope my dealer (had problems before) does the same for me. I can think of better ways to spend next Saturday than cranking on this myself.

My RR wheel bearing went out at the beginning of this year. I noticed it when I rotated the tires & saw the start of drippings on the inside of the rim. Got it done under warrantee but the dealer wanted extra to change the fluid - parts and labor. Go figure. It should have been part of the job but whatever.

Pickup some diff fluid before you have the dealer do the work & change it yourself that night. It'll save you about $100.

Yea, sounds like the way to go. Just about time to change the diff fluid anyway.

According to the warranty booklet, axle seals are covered.
