It will work fine.

I have a Kenwood that apparently kicks ass. I dont have the factory 430 or 730 though so I dont know if this would work for you. It was not a cheap camera, about $200, but my brother recommended it. I didnt think anything of it until a buddy and I went to the coast last weekend and he said it was MUCH better then his. Don't know the model number but I will find it and post.

Does $350 seem fair for labor to hook up and program rear cam to RBZ? This doesn't include commander camera cost, but would be done by jeep dealor.

Saw some posts from 6 months ago in this thread about back up cams displayed in rear views. I'm looking for this setup as I run open most of the year and don't want a fancy LCD head unit, I'd rather hide the backup camera in a stock-ish looking rearview.

The unit folks pointed to (Gentex) no longer seems to be for sale on Amazon, only direct through MITO now: http://mito-auto.com/index.php?optio..._category_id=1

Any further experience/luck with these? Thanks!

Is this blurry image consistent with others who have put in commander cameras in their JK?

Did you take the protective film off the camera lens?

Yeah, it was actually installed by Pat's sister dealership in FL. I was their first install, but a tech named Rick in the Field's in IL does them for them up there.

Just wondering how other commander / Cherokee cameras look with RBZ units?

The one the dealership used was this one.

But mine looks blurry with my RBZ. Still trying to see if others are the same.

I went aftermarket stereo and cam... my mounting spot is pretty funny... Im in New Mexico and the middle of our plates has the ZIA (sun symbol) perfect spot for me..

my camera was 19 bucks on amazon.. clear daylight pic.. fuzzy at nite but with new rigid d2 flush mounts that will change..

Any issues with not being at vehicle center, or does the fish eye give sufficient coverage/ field of view?

How'd you interface it's RCA plugs to the radio?

Nice. I was going to go with the Audiovox cam, but this may be a cheaper option.

I think I'm going to put mine in the bumper like this...

Just got my rear camera installed. $25 shipped from China, CCD supposed (not going to open it to check), could be cheaper if I didn't opt for the one with 4 white LED. And I found out it's not necessary to have the LED as the brake and rear lights will give enough illumination.
Anyway, I'm quite impressed with the quality ^^ except the obviously inaccurate distance guides.

(The big white bright spot in the night picture on head unit screen is the camera flash)

Any experience with Lockpick. I've heard mixed reviews. (Head units acting strangely agter it was installed etc.) I purchased one and have not installed it (yet) on my 430. I'd be curious what experience others have had.

Thanks for the insight. Been a bit hesitant. Does it require any updating etc or is it just plug and play and forget about it. Thanks again
