Bad oem shocks!!!

I had my 2013 jku at the dealer for a water leak and asked them to check a dull low speed thud in the rear while they had it. After inspection service rep tells me I need new shocks. Sounds like this is a common issue because they are on back order. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm beginning to think I've got a troubled jeep...soft top rattle, water leak at door surrounds, now shocks!!! Maybe it was built on a Friday afternoon.

My tires were badly cupped at 20,000 miles from the OEM shocks. I just put Rancho 9000XL's on it. The difference is night and day.

I thought I was me. I starting getting a shock pop sound a few weeks ago. I may have to look into warranty for it though, I don't want to upgrade just yet.

I was told that shocks are wear items. Besides I really didn't want another set of those.

They are doing mine under warranty, but I don't even have 9,000 miles on it yet.

I kept newish spare Rubi shocks, just in case. Of course, I then did a lift and rendered my two extra sets immediately useless. Pick up some red Rubicon take-off shocks off CL. I just listed mine for $80 per set of four with springs and $60 without.

The stock shocks are a joke... I don't know if my Freedom Edition has sport or sahara shocks, since the freedom is a mish mash of parts, but when I removed the shocks they all squished in my hands with no problem. I'm a small guy so if I can squish a shock with no effort at all then its a sad situation. The bilstein HD's I installed, and the Rubi takeoffs I put on my wife's jeep, were not compressible in my hands. They required me to mount one end before I could push my all my might and compress the shock.
