Has anybody received an actual badge from jeep for a trail you did? How long did it take to get it in the mail? Many thanks...

I've never heard of this. If these existed, I would've bought one off Ebay and faked it.

I know they have it for some kind of app, but I didn't know the badges were real.

Those badges were splattered all over the white 10A that Jeep had at the Safari display in Moab. In fact, it looks like the above pic is of that vehicle.

If they are for real (and not just virtual badges) then I think that is a great idea. Mercedes-Benz did this with their grill badges, and it was a source of pride. Not that jeepers need any more excuses to customize their rigs, but this would be a very cool idea if real.

You created an account on the website and verified your VIN correct? They only send the badges to verified Jeep owners.

Here's the detailed info on how to get them. There are a bunch of them scattered across the lower 48, but as you'd expect, most of them are in the CO, CA, UT areas.

Badge of Honor | Off Road Trails, Jeep Life, Trail Badge | Jeep

Has anyone received a real, vehicle-mountable badge yet?

When I first saw this I thought it was kind of cheesy. But then the old baseball card collector laying dorment inside me awoke and said, "You NEED to collect as many as you can." This weekend I was at Rausch Creek doing greens with a wheeling club and I checked in to Trail 11. (not sure if I was actually on trail 11 but the leader said we were on a stretch of it during the day) I got an e-mail saying that my badge would be sent in the mail in 6-8 weeks. I'll post a pic when and if I get it.

I agree. Way too few trails. This would be so much better if there were more trails. Would be a great way to find and share trails with other enthusiasts that are verified. Would be pure genius. I sent feedback to Jeep and they basically responded tough noogies.

Be nice to have one major trail in each of the 50 states, with a Jeep rental option for 3-5 states for those who would go to HI or AK or vacation without their own Jeep.

It's a cool idea period. If Jeep wont expand on it, maybe Tread Lightly could run with it?

I've dinked with the site some but the points are all hosed. Says you get points for registering which I haven't gotten.

Says you get points for registering your jeep but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it.

Says you get points for sending waves. I sent 10 waves and got no points.

There's a difference between those kinds of points and the actual trail points that warn physical badges. You'll only earn worthless virtual "badges" for registering/waving/etc. the only way to earn a physical badge that you can put on your jeep is to physically visit one of the trails, and use a GPS-enabled smartphone to "check in" there via the free app.
