BDS 3 inch lift kit

I am looking at the BDS 3inch lift kit for JKU. Does anyone have any experience with this kit ? Any negative or positive comments would be appreciated.

I sort of have it. I have the BDS 3" lift in the front with BDS Fox 2.0 shocks and it has been great. It rides great, the gas Fox shocks are a little stiff but thats the beast of heavy duty gas shocks.

I originally had a 19/60 coils swap and later added a Teraflex leveling kit which gave me around 3". The front rode horrible with this set up. The front was like a boat and was making weird noises on sharp turns so I had to replace the front. The rear was fine so I replace the front with a BDS lift. It has a great warranty too boot.

Pic after lift with 33's

I installed the 3 Inch BDS Lift on my 2013 JKU. Rides great. To be honest I originally put the exhaust spacers in and noticed a bot of vibration, the alignment of the spacers was not perfect so I took them out. I haven't done any off roading and appears to have plenty of clearance to the drive shaft boot. So I haven't been in a hurry to re-install them.

I also did not take the pitman arm loose as the directions say, didn't really see the need. Put it all together, had the alignment checked/aadjusted and it all works great. I also went with 305/70R17 Mickey Thompsons MTZ's. Pretty straight forward. I did the whole job myself front and rear in less than 8 hours. Including springs, spacers, drop links, shocks, steering stabilizer and even added a trailer Hitch (not included in the BDS Lift).
Good Luck.

Subscribed. I'm looking for a lift for my 2012 JK Rubicon. It appears that the BDS 3" lift allows for using the factory electronic sway bar disconnect. Wonder if other lifts allow the same?

Any lift you want allows the factory electronic sway bar to be used. You just add longer sway bar links, it still functions as it did stock. Sway bar links are included in most quality lifts.

i have the the BDS 4" short arm lift. i love it. no complaints at all, i'm in a JK, not a JKU but still. thought i bent the pitman arm wheeling... called BDS, had another pitman arm in 3 days..

turns out i just bent the drag link... lol but seriously. those guys have fantastic customer service. believe in their product. i try to wheel my rig when ever i have coin and time...

i have nothing but good things to say about BDS

I had a 3" BDS lift on my previous Jeep (a '99 TJ) and had NO problems/complaints with it ... great product. BDS also comes highly recommended from "Just Jeeps and More" in Knoxville. They installed it and would be happy to answer any questions. Good luck!
