Bedliner madness!!

So I bought 5 cans of spray bedliner (Duplicolor Bed Armor) last week, and have been going a little nuts with it. So far, I've done my cowl scoop, locking fuel door, step bars, coated my muffler and tail pipe (cause the silver poking out under there was ugly) and I still have plans to do the grille and hinges. I may do the rockers up to the body line as well.
Love this stuff!!

Haha, the stuff is great.

The muffler might burn off though--I use high heat paint on mine and it starts to flake every few months.

Let's see some pics.

Don't bedline your bed.

That sheet would suck.

I thought about doing the rims. It's my daily driver though, so I'd have to be ok with being stranded while I'm doing them. Can't go out half done!!

Pics, lol. Picture these parts, now picture them with bedliner on them. There's some mental pics for ya.

Can't . . . use . . . imagination . . . corporate America . . . has . . . wiped out . . . just . . . can't . . . see . . .

Actually, the fuel door and the cowl scoop are both items that I think would be cool to really see. FWIW, I'm pondering doing my trail rated badge . . .

And do you have any thoughts on this stuff's UV resistance? I've never actually seen the rattle can stuff used long-term, though you may have. I'm considering going over my bedlined hinges and the like with something like this auto enamel in an effort to hold off any fade, though I don't know how much of an issue that actually is or whether the enamel would end up suffering worse.

I'll try to get a few pics later.

The can says it's fade PROOF, but I'll believe that when I see it. Easy enough to put a fresh coat on things, though. I did the fuel door first and wasn't really happy with how it turned out, so I may redo that. I laid it on a little too thick at first.

I'm just amazed that people are still remembering the Hootus incident 12 years later!

I'm thinking about doing my wheels, did you have to scuff them up first or just clean them? How have they held up? Did you take off your balancing weights?

I'm thinking about doing one at a time, the spare, then just rotating through over a week long period because it is a DD.

I sanded them with 180 grit sandpaper, wiped them down with a damp cloth. The tire guys put the weights on the inside when I got the new tires so I didn't have to worry about that. I don't see why you couldn't spray them though, I would. I used rustoleum truck bed liner and they've held up perfectly over the 5 months they've been sprayed. It will be a lot easier taking your tires off too, I just left them on and put paper behind the tire so not to get the brakes painted and noticed I needed to touch up the spoke areas since it didn't get the underside completely sprayed.
