Brake squeal. Is it kept outside where it gets moisture on the rotors or pads?
Sounds like my ceramic pads on my Grand Cherokee if they get wet in the rain and they sit overnight. As soon as you heat up the brakes and dry the moisture in the morning the squeal goes away.
It's hard to tell, but is the car moving when you're applying the brakes and it makes this noise? If so, I'd agree with Kadonny and say it's just brake squeal. It's fairly normal, especially if you live in a humid area and the car is left outside.
It's kept in the garage, and no the jeep is not moving. It whistles a long as the brake pedal is pressed... Usually only does this in the mornings, or after a long period of not running. I usually only once or twice.... Could it be a vacuum leak?
Its a loud high pitch electronic beep in the video if I am hearing it correctly... I dont see any lights on the dash indicating anything bad. Was there a trailer brake installed by chance? Any other aftermarket electronics?
That's right... Coming from dash area, can't pinpoint.... No warning lights on dash illuminated. No trailer brake... No after market electronics... Pedal seems mushy in the mornings too.
That sounds like the whistle of a dying brake booster to me...
Edit:
To elaborate.
I've heard a similar noise when the seal between the brake booster and the master cylinder is not tight or leaking from an old gasket. You can also get a similar noise if the booster is busted and sucking air. 99% of the time, replacing the booster or seal fixes the problem.

No, it does it a lot more now... I took it in for an oil change and the service manager said it sounded like a booster issue, bit he didn't have time to look at it.... I'm gonna try to take it in this week... I have the lifetime warranty, so it should be covered... I believe it has something to do with the recall on the Cherokee boosters, it just hasn't been expanded to the wrangler yet.
