By best I mean, dependable, looks great, performs, is durable, and inexpensive. Maybe some mid-low price options.. I'm leaning toward pillar mounts and a cube on each side.

I've got these on my jeep. I've measured them at more than 3000 feet of distance. They are comparable to the vision x cannons but run under $200 for a set. I used the KC side mounts for mine. I have two on the A pillar and two on the front of the jeep. I've had the single cube and the double cube setup on my a pillar and these cannons are by far the best bang for your buck.

Two on the front bumper

Two on the A piller

The rail road crossing in the distance is about 2500ft away and I can see well beyond it but my cellphone camera couldn't pick it up.

Double a pillar

This is from the fence that was in the other picture. The double a pillar has about 1800ft of distance.

You can see they don't light up no where near what the two cannons do. That setup is around $150 to do.

Single cube setup

I don't really have pictures of these lite up I can find but you just gotta trust me that they are not even close to any of the other two setups I showed. I now have those two cubes on the rear as backup lights where they do great.

Hopefully that helps you make a decision. I've had quite a few different setups. If you have any questions for me fell free to ask.

I finally got around to wiring my Nilights this afternoon and they look pretty good.

Vehicle Car Off-road vehicle Jeep wrangler Sky

They've been mounted for about a week, and have seen 4in of rain, 3in of snow, and 25 degree temps without issue. My research showed that spot patterns were better than flood patterns on the A pillar, so I went with this setup:

17" lightbar (chose length to fit my bullbar)

This is great. Going to go with the square lights on the A-pillar.

What wiring harness did you have to buy? Want to make this as easy as possible... don't mind spending a few extra dollars

Check out our CUBE A pillar kit. It includes the brackets, lights and all the wiring you will need. You can choose either the standard 4 LED CUBE or the 6 LED CUBE. People love this kit.

You can find it here

If you are going for the more traditional round light look, check out the Revolver A pillar kit. Its a newer kit which we offer, but as been extremely popular. This also includes everything needed to install.

You can find that here

All kits include a lifetime warranty and tech support.

And what do they "plug and play" connect to if I am adding them on the A-pillars?
They are not plug and play. You will need to install the wire harness, with connections to the battery and a switch which you will mount inside the vehicle. If you have an sPod, or something similar, the lights gets wired to that.

I still like these and if your looking for the best light out put these have the best of any I have used. 3000ft of distance or more for under $200 a pair.

That's more of a traditional look but I like the old school look, I used KC side mounts for the A pillar. The lights are 6.7" cannons, very comparable to the vision x ones

You can also get them in a 4.5" as well.

Where is the link to the webpage where they can be purchased ?

A pillar side mounts by KC. Keeps the 6 inch classic bullet halogen driving lights right out of the field of view. They are the way to go.

I used these brackets. These brackets are long enough to mount what ever size light you want and also have a hole to run the wiring through, they also come with a foam backer to protect the paint and follow the body line very well.

You cannot beat the price.

These are Warn 3.5" lights for reference.
I would be real cautious of anything they sell. I used some of their mounts for some lights before and they were garbage. Here are some links to my YouTube review on them. It wasn't just one set, it was all three sets they sent me.

Seems KC is the only company with the side mounts as far as I can tell. Wonder why? It seems like a much better mount location than in front of the window and probably what I am going with as far as location. Still undecided on lights. Hell, I can't make up my mind yet about round vs. cube.

Honestly comparing the cubes to the round, if your talking about the revolver type round ones there isn't much difference in light output compared to a cube. The ones like I got have different reflectors and throw the light our much farther than a cube or the revolver type. Not saying you could get by with just a cube but I like a more older style look and the KC mounts combined with those round ones was a perfect match for me.

It does seem only KC makes those mounts but they are worth the $40 for them.

Here is a close up of the side KC side mount A pillar bracket, and the KC Daylighter classic bullets that I have mounted on my Jeep. I love the classic look and build quality of the steel KC 6" bullets, and they work fantastic, off road or on those dark back roads.

I think those are my next purchase. I have the Apollos on my front bumper. Those would be a great addition. The Led ones are just too much money and I kind of prefer the warmer light. So I may go Halogen. They have upgrade kits I I ever decided Led. Are those the spots? 100watt or 130?

I used Poison Spyder A pillar brackets with Rigid Side Shooter floods.

Very happy with them.
How about you, Rodder? Any night pics? The Poison mounts and the D-SS is what I'm looking at doing. Not sure which beam pattern though.
