That is the case, yes (didn't know they were called 'map lights' - good one)

Just curious, is it brighter when you turn them on? I ask because I noticed how much "glare" the radio/LCD screen has off inside of the hardtops. Also...I think the map lights are angled too far towards the windshield. So if flipped upside down, maybe they will reflect of the inside of the hard-top for better interior light when you touch the light button(s) on the mirror? Hmmmmm

Nah. Don't fool yourself. Those puny lights are completely useless upside down.

Was at Home Depot and in the clearance section they had little LED flashlights that charged when plugged into the cigarette lighter of your car. Didn't realize when I bought it that when its plugged in it has a blue LED that glows to let you know its charging, and it is rather bright. I ended up putting it in the cigarette lighter in the arm rest cubby and it lights it up real nice, makes it a ton easier to find my random crap in there. Only cost about $4 on sale, and its a pretty useful mod/accessory.

I don't have fancy map lights, but the view is way better upside down.

I am seriously interested in how you did this. I am new to the Jeep community so just some basic complete step by step instructions with pictures and videos would suffice...lol..Looks great!!

I love the VDP stubby end caps. Easy to install and they really show off my beefy KM2s.

So far I've:

- bed lined my wheels
- bought a MORE dead pedal ($50)
- got a silly antenna topper
- inverted my rear view mirror
- unconverted my rear view mirror (not worth losing map lights)
- bought a tow strap and d ring

$10 to somebody on eBay to buy black stickers to cover up the stupid warning signs on my visors. As soon as I put these on Kate Upton stopped by to do my laundry. Very worth it.

Had a subwoofer installed today into a stock 13 w no factory sub. Costed me 100 for the sub and 150 for the job. Not so cheap.

Dude, this looks sick! I have a white 2013 4door sahara on order and would like to do something like this...

I'm new to mods, so forgive my ignorance, but how'd you remove the Jeep letters and reapply them? Looks like you dipped the grill inserts too, correct?

Thanks!
