Who's got any opinions on the best mirrors for when the doors come off?

I use the Rugged Ridge round mirrors. So guys have come up with mirrors they can mount in the door hinge. I run tube doors so I use the Rugged Ridge because it mounts to he pillar. If you don't have power mirrors you can use the factory mirrors with relocation brackets. Barricade makes one.

Depends on what you want to spend. Some folks put a adhesive round mirror on their ac/heat vent, some go top of the line like the new quadratec mirrors. Most made seem to be a type that goes into the hinge when the door is off. But you loose some vision in the passenger mirror because of placement.
I like mine that I got from www.justaddmud.com They have small magnetic "kickstands" that keep the mirror from folding in from wind resistance at higher speeds, and keep them from rolling forward at a stop.

Without a doubt, Dietech mirror mounts with OEM/replacement mirrors.
Die-Tech Off-road Mirror Brackets
Not the cheapest solution, but they are the best thing I could have purchased. I initially used a pair of the square safari mirrors from Quadratech. They worked and were useful, but the Die-Tech mounts are just a world apart. They put the mirror in the original position and once you adjust them you never need to touch the mirror again. I couldn't be happier.

Dietech all the way!

If I did it all over again, I'd get the Kikbax. Ease of installation and no vibration (from what I hear from owners that have them) are key. I have Q-tech cheap mirrors that screw into the door hinges and they are a PIA to install and they shake and move like crazy (no matter how tight I try to make them). If you really look at the Kikbax design, it really is terrific.

Thanks!
Just had to return the Rugged Ridge Quick Release Mirrors to Quadratec after finding that I couldn't get my doors back on with the brackets still attached to the windshield hinge ... Not was I was anticipating & really disappointing!
I'm looking forward to trying these out :)

The Quadratec mirrors seem to be the same thing as the Rugged Ridge but $12 cheaper at $40 (compared to the ebay link above). I have the Quadratecs and am quite happy with them. Though if I were to buy them again, I would spend the $50 for the square mirrors. I have soft doors so I didn't want anything that mounds in the door brackets.

In Wisconsin you only need rear view mirror. So I just purchased these two circle bubble mirrors from Autozone. They cost me $5.00 total. I put them on the one side of vent with included 3m sticky tape. This way I turn the vent around to show them when I need mirrors with doors off and then I turn them the other way to hide mirrors when doors are on. They work great!

Now you see them.
Now you don't!

This is what I did as well. I thought it would be a temporary thing until I pulled the trigger on the Quadratec or Rugged Ridge quick release mirrors. I have no plans to buy mirrors now. When you are topless and doorless it's really easy to see when you turn your head. Side mirrors aren't required in Ohio so these just add a nice blind spot mirror so you can tell when someone is right beside you without having to turn your head first.

I like the Mirror Movers that put the factory mirrors on the A-pillar permanently. I don't like having to take the mirrors on and off when I put the doors on and off. Let me know if you see anything you like and I'll get you a quote!
