Best place to Buy ACE Sliders

I have a 75th AE JKU and I'm leaning towards the ACE sliders over the Barricade and was wondering which vendors is good to work with and good discounts.

Thank you in Advance

John

Has anybody suggested Northridge 4x4 yet? If not, you should definitely order them from there.

Order directly from Ace Engineering...Otherwise, take a look at the vendor forums for discounts.

Ace charges freight in most cases. Northridge comps that. Saved a ton in the last couple of years from free shipping at Northridge. Front and rear ace bumpers ordered from there) (along with a bunch of other stuff.... )

Love the free shipping but I also found the forum here where you can post what you are looking for (after posting) and ordered from Elevated Off Road (another supporter I believe) as they where offering 10% off and free shipping.

I will be looking at Northridge for other things.

thank you for all the replies.

Northridge offers a forum discount, just let them know you are a forum member when you call to place your order.

Any reason why you decided on the ACE instead of the Barricade? Just curious because I'm currently torn between the two.

I just got a set from Northridge 4x4 on black friday. Got them for $350+free shipping. They were at my house in 2 days. Impressive.

I do have a problem with ACE though. I had them on for a week and there is rust all over one of the welds already. Pretty disappointed in their powder coating.

I went with 4 wheel parts. They just opened up a store near my house last year. During black Friday they were discounted and they paid shipping and sales tax. Can't beat that. I like the Ace rock sliders because they do offer a good size step even underneath the rubi rock rails. I know it is much heavier to leave them both on but the rock rails do a good job of covering the ugly pinch seams.

I have Ace on our two door and Barricade on our four door. I prefer the Ace because they stick out about an inch farther and make a better step. Also they are made in Michigan.

Northridge has them in stock and several of the other vendors have them on backorder.

I ordered from Joe at Elevated Offroad with forum discount + free shipping. Ordered Saturday afternoon, I added other stuff to order and STILL had tracking numbers first thing Monday morning. Great communication answering my questions pre-sale. Top notch service as far as I'm concerned, and I will absolutely order from them again.

Now if it would quit snowing so UPS will actually move them from their hub...

I generally try to buy Made in USA products when I have the choice if I think the quality and price are acceptable. ACE sliders were 3 for 3 for me. When I was looking initially, I did like the angles of the Barricades better though.

Sorry for the delay - The reasons are very minimal for choosing one over the other but here they are.

1. They are a little wider for helping my little ones get in and out
2. They are built in Michigan (I'm from there :-) vs China
3. I saw some post where the barricades don't always line up

Family liked the looks of the barricade better but the three items above was enough to sway me.

The install was very easy and is now done.

Thank you everyone - I ordered from Elevated Off Road using their forum discount (10% off) and free shipping. They where delivered on Thursday and my son and I installed them today. My little girl seems to like them and it will make it easier for her my other son and wife get in and out of the jeep.
