Where is the best place to get the Delrin hinge inserts aka Hinge Liners?

I am of course looking for the best price and fast shipping. Hopefully by US distributor. I see they list US dealers but do any provide a discount here?

I have Smittybilt tube doors and love them except I noticed that the passenger side door has rubbed on the top of the hinge and worn it away. Its pretty bad so I hope it is just the insert and not the hinge itself.

Of course it happened on the passenger side, if it was on my side I would have noticed sooner.

Thanks.

Ahhh just the info I needed. I got my doors off for the first time last night and now I'm looking to do the Delrin liners. Thanks all.

Thanks for the heads up on the socket kjeeper10.

I'll let you know as I just ordered them....but my old bushings don't look like they are painted in. Granted I have a black Jeep, so I can't see paint as easily on the liners as say a white or other color.

I bought the TMR brand as well and ended up getting them from JustJeepGear.com. I had never heard of the place before but found out they are a vendor on another JK forum. They had the best price I could find and free shipping... and sent some free swag to boot. :D

Are you thinking of the hinge gasket that's supposed to help prevent corrosion? I think the hinge bushings are still the same. Others with 2015 have replaced them. I'll find out for sure as soon as this rain goes away.

Any chance someone who doesn't have them installed yet could give me some dimensions using a dial caliper? (Overall length/shoulder length, the two diameters and hole size.)
I have some black delrin laying around at work and we have a old lathe I just want to make my own instead of spending the $60 or so.

Here is what mine looked like after popping them out from my 2013. This was at the beginning of last summer, 2014. After buying it in March of 2013, the first year they came off OK, then in 2014 after one winter. I had to get the log and jack to get the doors off, no issues now.
Mine don't even look like inserts no more lol

Geez, I guess I'd better do this sooner rather than later. Those look like they've been buried in the desert for a few decades.

Any update on if they came out? I will be doing this later tonight. Any feedback on 9mm or 11/32 socket, I really do not want to scratch my paint. Doing something fun and get a scratch, OK, but not putting in new bushing.

Anyone do this upgrade to their newly delivered Jeep.
I'm thinking doing this as soon as I got my new Jeep if this would be easier to get the fsctory liners off.

New Jeep will be a piece of cake. No corrosion yet.

Update. Liquid wrench did not help much. I used the deep leg socket from underneath with no luck. I finally took a really small screwdriver and hammer and pushed the top lip edges into the the center of the hinge hole. Then took my socket head and pounded down. Worked great, but got 2 small paint chips on two hinges. This was the only way they were coming out, I had no choice and I'm fine with it. I'll post a pic of my old liners tomorrow morning, they are beat.

Bottom line, the Delrin liners slid right in and work fantastic. So easy to get the doors off now. If you are going to take your doors on and off, this is a MUST do mod.

Picture of my old inserts.

As you can see, the only way they would budge was to hammer and fold the top lip into the center, then hammer them down and out the bottom. The one that was the worst off was the lower rear right hinge. I guess that saw the most road salt kick up etc. You can guess which one it was. That sucker was really rusted in there.

Can anyone confirm if these work well with the DieTech Side-Mirror Relocation Brackets? I jacked up the OEM aluminum ones putting the brackets in.

Yes I'm running both the DieTech mounts and the liner, works just fine.

If you're getting any vibration in the mirror don't forget to use the bottom star nut from the doors, it helps to tighten everything up and really cuts down on any vibration.

Thanks to all who replied. I bought mine from BBM Offroad since they are in CA and I knew the shipping would be the fastest.

Free shipping as well.

The stock liners came right out no problem with an 11/32 socket. So glad I didnt opt for the tool. I am in AZ and the Jeep has not seen much water, so...

I did use Mopar touch up paint to touch-up my hinges before putting the liners in.

They do work with my tube doors.

These are great! Wish I could find washers for the bottom of the hinge when I put the bolt on with my tube doors. Nylon works great for that for now.

I think if they are sticking they could be greased, but it also appears they could be hard to do later.

My main reason is mine were getting damaged by aftermarket tube doors. If I just used stock doors I probably would not have done mine living in AZ. If you live in a place with more water or corrosion that will be different.
But now that they are out they are quite thin and soft, so damage is very easy to do if you use any type of aftermarket door.

My '07's door have ALWAYS been a real pain to remove. Had to use a floor jack and some 2x4s and a 5 gallon bucket just to get them to budge.

Last year as I put them back on at the end of summer, I heavily greased the pins with a good quality axle grease, and this year while they did pop off easier than previous years, they still didn't slide out like some of my older jeeps.

I am seriously considering the Delrin inserts for my 2014 and chalking it up to "preventative maintenance".
