Best price on Chrysler lifetime warrantee?

Hello all. My 2012 JK 2 door sport is nearing one year in age and I am seriously considering the Chrysler Lifetime Maxcare warrantee with $100 deductible.

By searching this site I have read many pros and cons, which I appreciate. Since I keep vehicles a long time (the YJ I traded in was a '94) lifetime is the way to go. Also, until recently, I did most of my repair work. Unfortunately, as I have recently crossed the 60 year old line, heavy repair work is no longer as fun as it used to be so it is time to farm it out.

What I would like to know is what some of you paid for the Maxcare warrantee so I have some idea what to negotiate for. Two sites listed in previous threads have given me a $2,245 price and a $2,185 price. Has anyone gotten below $2,100? $2,000? The local dealer is at $2,500 and will not budge so I'll be shopping around online.

Any info will be appreciated.

Definitely check the online places. Absolute lowest my dealer would go was ~$2500. I bought from Harold Zeigler for $2185, and they offer 12 month no interest financing, so I didn't have to front the whole thing up front, just 10%.

Why do you say this? Is the fine print all excluding or something?

I walked into the dealership when I bought my Jeep in March with the printout from Chrysler extended warranty, Factory backed extended warranties for Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler vehicles where I could get the lifetime for somewhere around 2200 and I said I wasn't going to pay more than that because I could just buy it online. The woman fed me some BS about their cost being 2100 or 2150 but she'd make an exception for me so they sold it to me for 2200. I was happy with it. I remember reading posts where people bought it for sub 2k but I definitely think the price has been creeping up lately.http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/

I've got Lifetime MaxCare on my WK2 (orig owner) and was going to add it to my Wrangler (used 2012) but is the Lifetime option only available to "original purchaser" or can second owners add Lifetime as long as the Jeep still within the basic warranty parameters? A finance guy at a local dealer (I was poking around prices) said Lifetime was only available to original owners. Anyone? Bueller?

Wish I had bought one with my 08 JK ... would have been around $2K at the time for a lifetime warranty. I've put way more than that into repairs.

Did buy the lifetime warranty on my 07 Commander for $2K ... has saved me over $10K in repairs.

I'll never own another Jeep without an extended warranty.

I will be ordering a 2014 in the next couple of months. Definitely want the extended warranty since we plan on keeping it forever:angel:! Would love negotiating tips. The price I saw on the jeep website was going to be around 3000. I'm hoping for more like 2k to 2500.

Just under 2k from C.R. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Hudson , Mi.
I talked with Rodney , he was very helpful . I did a down payment and Mopar had zero financing for the rest . Why spend my money when zero interest is out there .

I sell them for $1985.00 all day long!"

This was written by Mike Noble from Hayes Jeep. He's a forum member (ID Noble). I'd say send him a message and see if you can get it from him and save a little bit of money! :thumb:

For what it's worth, I have never spoken to the man, just happened to remember seeing it posted earlier. Passing along solely because it sounds like a cheaper option.

Have a great night, everyone!
