Twice yesterday, in two separate parking lots as kids were walking by I heard "mom!!! That is the coolest truck!!!"
I couldn't help but laugh and smile.
Jeeps really do bring out the kid in all of us, no matter how old

What's the best reaction/compliment you've gotten on your Jeep?

The other day I was in Auto Zone waiting in line to check out and this stunningly beautiful girl walks in and says "who owns that pretty green Jeep in the parking lot?" In my mind pops WOW :huglove: and I speak up and say "I do." Her reply,,,,"Well, I just ran into it with my car, you may want to come look."

Arg!!!! :blackeye

Only reactions I get are;

- Wow, that is a thief magnet!
- Hmm, I bet your gas milage sucks in that thing!
- Why do you have such big tires, are you ready for an urban assault?
- I bet that thing flips over easy!
- I've heard jeeps catches of fire easy.

... and a few dozen more annoying comments!

In Corpus one morning on a day so windy I couldn't keep the back floormats from blowing out, a kid asked us at a store......What happened to your doors? I said, this wind just blew them off.....you could tell he was a little skeptical.

Then in Austin one morning at a store, I am getting back intot he Jeep at a store and I hear a kid in the next car ask....Daddy, that car doesn't need doors?

I do get a kick out of little kids reactions. Moms in a hurry (of course) kid stops in absolute wonderment slack jawwed.
Mom circles back and grabs hand.....

"Mommy that man has no doors"
"Mommy that man has a transformer"

I had one little guy climb in as I was walking across the lot. Mom was mortified, I said " Let him, he can't hurt anything".

I had a tweaked out meth head say "nice Jeep, man" at a gas station once... That's about the only reaction I've gotten that I've noticed anyway.

Mostly, I just get people saying they love the color but that's about all. I'm pretty stock looking compared to most of the Wranglers I see around my area. Which is odd for being in crappy Iowa.

I was driving back from the lake last summer when a sport bike (with a very cute passenger) passed me going to opposite direction. They did a U-turn and got right up behind me. I needed to change lanes, but since I figured they'd go zooming past me I was waiting for them to go around first. But they stayed right behind me... so my initial response was that I had inadvertently done something that pissed them off.

Got to a red light and they pulled up next to me. The driver was yelling something, but I couldn't understand him through his helmet, so the cute passenger lifts her helmet up and screams "We LOVE your Jeep!!"

When I bought my Jeep a little over a year ago, several other people at my office bought cars and trucks about the same time. My Jeep was the only vehicle that several people wanted to go out into the parking lot to see and take it for a ride. On days when I drive it to work with the roof off, I leave the windows down. I can look out of the office window and see co-workers walk very slowly by the Jeep and look inside. They will then come into the office and say "Man your Jeep is nice!"

Being in Germany it's pretty old getting gawked at in my jeep. I did like rolling through a town and 4 kids started waving and yelling as I drove by topless/doorless saying awesome jeep in German. I've done quite a bit to the cosmetics along with all the other junk no one notices and people are pretty quick to gawk and compliment it.

that must be awkward, driving a jeep in the vehicle that helped win the war lol.

my only contribution to this thread is that in my 3 months of ownership, i just get double takes and stares at red lights from the people next to me.

First off, my wife isn't the biggest fan of my jeep. She doesn't hate it, just doesn't understand what all the attraction is about them. I'm always talking to people about my jeep and what have I done to it etc...

Last weekend my wife, sister-in-law and I were riding in my jeep with the top & doors off (the term naked just didn't sound right in this sentence). As we were driving through an intersection, the homeless guy begging for change on the corner yells out "nice jeep brother". My sister-in-law and I just started laughing while my wife remained silent.

I had a 2-3 year old kid pointing at it while I was waiting for my wife to get out of the store, his mom pulled him along, then he breaks free and walks back and points and says something. She finally looks over and I can see her say "Yeah, that is a cool Jeep!" I'm still stock, and top/doors were on due to the rain we've had around DFW. I was thinking, kid, just wait...

My wife and I followed another party out of a restaurant Friday evening into the parking lot. The young gentlemen in front stops dead in the parking lot and is just staring, turns out he's looking at my Jeep! Walk around him and hop in, his comment..."That Is! Awesome!"

Other than kids always pointing at the Jeep most of the comments come from other Jeep owners that are usually bone stock. Stuff like nice wheels, tires, accessories, is it lifted etc.

My favorite is always the little boy holding a 4X4 toy and then pointing like crazy to the Jeep when I drive by too cute.

Everyone hated my last f150 except me. I traded it in for my jeep and while I was at the dealership signing paper my wife went to go pick my daughter up from school. When they got to the dealership my daughter got out and went right over to the jeep and was going off about how awesome it was and how we should buy it. I was like "I already did" lol of course she didn't believe me but then a few minutes later the dude came out and handed me keys and off we went. She was so excited. Nobody was sad to see the ford go haha
