Well, for one, I do it on my hood, no need to use the ground. And what the hell am I supposed to do with that vault when it has my windows in it?
Window Vault - Soft-top Window Storage System $279.00 :rofl2:
People are making the window storage issue far too complicated. $15 worth of material from Wal-Mart, and someone that can sew a 54" straight line is all you need, or go buy a Clover Patch thing. Roll the windows up and throw the roll in one of the folds of your top. Easy-peasy.
I roll mine up the first day and from then on just throw them in the back.
No matter what you do, they are gonna eventually get scratched.
This is my 4th Jeep, so I've been there.
Trust me, this saves a lot of heartache.
I found an aftermarket bag at an auction that has felt in it. Best accidental find ever, my windows look brand new. The main thing is to make sure you clean them before storage
I find carpet carboard rolls work great. Cut a circular end of cardboard, throw some duct tape around it to close off one end, then roll your windows up and throw them in the tube roll. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask nicely to the carpet guys. Free/durable/compact/"revolutionary".

I roll my back window, in a fleece blanket, around a pool noodle and put it in a cardboard shipping tube. The tube is a little small in length and diameter so I've been looking for a bigger one. This sounds like a good idea.
What is the diameter of the roll, I assume it can be cut to length?
Do you take the bar off the back window, or just roll it up around that, before stuffing in the carpet tube?
