Best sound system for my JK?

Just picked up an 09 Wrangler. Base. Love it, except the sound system leaves much to be desired. What is the preferred aftermarket system to put in an 09 wrangler? Can the NAV system thats an option on the sahara and rubicon be put in the X? has anyone done this?

looking foirward to some "SOUND" advise

Welcome Aboard, Shipmate!

I felt the same way about my X's Sound System. If you'll look at my Signature, you'll see what Upgrades I ended up doing, which vastly improved the Sound Quality, to the point that I don't need to do anything else to it. I still have the Stock Head Unit, and I don't need a Sub-Woofer!

CONGRATS on your new Vessel! Pics, please, when you can!

Cheers!

BB

I'd like to add on tho this question:

I've got a JK as well, and I'd love to have a head unit that has Bluetooth phone capability, an integrated NAV system, and hopefully an iPod USB port. Anyone know of a compatible system?

The U-Connect system that you can get as an upgrade has all this.

To the OP. If you're gonna dump the money into getting the U-Connect system put in, I would suggest you go with an after market double DIN DVD/Nav system.

I have no problems using my stock 7 speaker Infinity system that is in it. The sub I took out and put my own subs and amp in though. Until they stock speakers blow out, they do what I need them to do. The headunit does what I need it to do as well.

The salesman at the dealership didn't recommend the blue tooth system in a jeep because the interior noise is too loud. I would agree with that over the summer. Especially with the top down and windows open. But that is when you really appreciate a good sound system though. Crank it up and with the wind in your hair, let it roll.
