I just bought a new Jeep Sport. It has the 16" wheels with the Wrangler STs. I kick myself in the rear for not negoiating a set of other wheel/tires. My ideal thing would find someone to do partial trade for my tire/wheels for another set up. Stupid I know.

Craigs List...
there are usually wheels and tires and they are all local...or as for as YOU are willing to go... shipping on wheels/tires can usually kill a deal..so being able to pick up or meet is key

5- 17" Goodyear Wrangler SRA outlined white letter tires 255-75-R-17 and wheels, came off a 2013 Jeep Wrangler wheels are gray in color less than 500 miles in new condition $1,000 256-453-6178

I'd say this is your WINNER !
I have 5 new wheels/tires off of a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. I replaced them with 35" tires immediately after purchasing (239 miles) the Jeep. The tires are Goodyear Wrangler SR-A's size 255/75 R17. The tires alone are $163 a piece on tirerack.com (not including shipping and handling). The wheels have a 5 on 5 bolt pattern. They are all mounted and balanced and ready to be installed on your vehicle. I will sell all 5 for $700.

again, go to Craiglist - ALABAMA - Birmingham search JEEP WHEELS
good luck :thumb:

Don't forget to look in the For Sale section of the forum. They come up all the time. Took mine to a local flea market and got rid of them

I emailed the dealer I bought from to. I doubt he will help much but you never knkw. I reminded him that my wife will be looking for a vehicle soon. I would like to sell mine and move into another set. That will be awkward trying to get mne off sold and buy others. Its my dumb fault for not telling dealer no deal unless you throw on Sport S wheels.

Find them online in the classifieds. Don't waste time at the dealer as they just want to markup things and make money. Guys with 'take-offs' are losing much of the value and just want to get rid of them.

The 16" steel wheels and dinky tires are fugly, I'd find the 17" set and swap em. Unfortunately your 16" wheel set probably isn't worth that much...

Give Andreas at ForTec a call, they literally have dozens of them, from brand spanking new to those with only a few hundred miles on them. They will have mine on Monday, 4 with 2200 miles and the spare with ZERO. 1-866-579-5337. Located in Roswell, Ga, so not so far away that you couldn't do a day-trip to come pick some up.

I was gonna buy bigger wheels, so bought the tires first, then when ordering the wheels, I decided to stay with the 16 inch and got ProComps. So, now I have big tires sitting in my garage 285/70/17 and tried to sell them but around here people want things for free. Not gonna happen.

How wide are the stock 16" wheels? I'd be careful in tire size depending on the width of the wheel.

If larger tires fit and you are happy with the stock wheel, just slap bigger tires on it. Due to the price of tires, I think you could get a 'take off' 17" wheel/tire set for around the same amount of money.

That it what the JK accross the way from me did. Kept his steelies and slapped bigger tires on them.

I just got my 35's in the other day. I've got 4 of the stock 17" wheel/ tire combo with 3600 miles. Also have a fifth wheel alone. I am looking for $500 for them. If by any chance you are heading down to Hangoutfest in Gulf Shores look me up.
One caveat, I am going to yank the TPMS out though.

You can sell your steelies for enough to offset some of the cost of 17" takeoffs. I got almost $300 for my set of five 16" when I bought some Sahara 18" takeoffs a few years back. I'd recommend looking at aftermarket if your budget allows... Ended up doing that two years after buying Sahara takeoffs. The ProComps just spoke to me...

shipping wheels & tires from JErsey to Alabama would run $200+ easy....

it very tought to work long distance second hand wheel / tire deals

I hooked up with a forum member from WV who was selling take offs... we eneded up meeting to make the deal work. I drove about 200 miles toward him, he drove about 120 miles toward me, but we got it done.

I just lifted my 2012 JK and put 33's on it with new wheels. How much should I sell the 5 take off wheel/tires for? 22k miles. If anyone has any info or ideas let me know. Thanks
16 or 17"? 16' are a gimme for wheels and tires, 17's tires with 22k are anywhere from freebies to a couple hundred if somebody wants th and has no desire for a better tire. Wheels are going for 250-300 all 5 in new condition!
