I have this combo and it works well. I don't have door surrounds so the problem is when you're parked and its raining. The top attaches to the spot bar leaving a gab between the door and bar. When water collects on the top and then you corner or fit the top it pours into the jeep. It would be much better with the door surrounds or a cover for when parked and raining.

Thanks! I've been here a while just don't usually post but have been wishing I had asked about this combo before I purchased!

I don't think the surrounds are very expensive.

No they aren't that bad but for the price of the combo and the surrounds I would almost be at the price of a trektop which is what I really wanted lol.

I'm also currently thinking about this Summer combo. Previously I was planning on getting the Bestop Trektop NX to get the cool back slanted look. I recently saw a customer review on 4wd.com that said it wasn't feasible to switch back and forth between the Trektop NX and the hard top. Any opinions on that?

Also I'd like to get rear painted half doors with the Duster deck cover extension with the summer combo:

Bestop 90034-35 - Bestop® Duster™ Deck Cover Extension for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec

But first to get the garage cleared out and the hoist installed...
