I started putting the Bestop Supertop on my '12 JKU today at 7 am. It's 935pm now and it's still not on. I have not seen a poorer excuse for instructions since the ones that came with the Chinese nuclear power plant I bought at Harbor Freight! Sketches instead of photographs? Give me a break. Complete junk. Worthless...no worse than worthless, because in some cases they are drawn incorrectly, leading to improper assembly, which then leads to re-assembly after you figure out the bit is backwards. I twisted off two self-tapping screws, stripped the hex socket on one of the shoulder machine screws, and one of the 1/4-20 machine screws gauled a nut and I had to resort to an angle grinder to remove it. I have had less trouble taking apart a rusted 50 year old motorcycle that has set in the rain for 35 years!
OK, venting is finished. I'm having a martini and a seconal and going to bed. Maybe tomorrow will go smoother. No way should this take two days!
I'll take some actual photos of some of the more mysterious items and post them tomorrow. Maybe others will have more luck.
