Bestop SuperTop vs. OEM Soft Top

New member here. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the Bestop Supertop (msrp of $845) vs the OEM soft top (msrp near $1500).

I know I should have went ahead and sprung for the dual top option but my 08 Unlimited Sahara was already into my pockets for over 30k. Anyhow, the weather is getting nice here in Memphis and I am looking to yank the hardtop off till winter. After all, don't we drive Wranglers to enjoy the open air?

I was looking on quadratech and the have a Bestop Supertop that sells for $845. The price makes it way more attractive than the $1500 OEM soft top. However, I will pay the extra cost for ease of use, fit and finish (if those words can even be applied to a Wrangler).

Also toying with the idea of a Safari top, deck cover and othe assorted item instead ot a complete soft top.

If anyone has any experience with the Bestop top I would appreciate any input.

Thanks

Thanks Gary,

I thought that they were the same but wasnt sure.

Funny story:
today I was in the local 4X4 parts store and asked the sales dude about the ragtop and he told me there was a guy in there the night before that had an OEM top off a JK he bought over the weekend that he was looking to get rid of. They put me in touch with him and I am gonna get his for $750.

Anyone know if it is worth the $300 to have the thing installed? I am very mechanically inclined, just don't know if I wanna mess with it all though. Don't the tops installed in the dual top option from the dealer come partially assembled? Meaning the bows are all put together and the fabric installed

The fabric attaches to the bows with screws.....Ive installed 3 or four replacement tops on Jks Im sure you can figure it out....300 is steep IMO...I get 2 hours which comes to 160 bucks at our shops labor rate...Gary
