Bestop Trek Top (classic or NX) Storage in JKU?

Now that summer is around the corner I have got the itch to get the top off my jeep whenever possible, freedom panels are like a gateway drug. However I live in an apt and don't have a garage so taking the hard top off more than once is not going to be practical. I was looking at the classic trektop since it appears to be the most minimal top I could find that would still stand up to being a DD. since it does not have the sunrider bars or zip of side windows I would hope it could be packed up small enough to fit in the back of the jku (preferably in a tuffy enclosure.)

So the million dollar question. Does anyone have pics or descriptions of how in-jeep storage of either of these tops work? I don't want to just use it as a bikini which is why I don't mind looking at the classic over NX model, my main concern I getting a top that I can take on and off almost everyday, and have it store in the jeep.

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks!

(yes I know there are a ton of trektop threads, unfortunately almost all of them relate only to the beastly initial install)

The problem you'll have with any top is the solid front header bar that goes side to side.

However the Trek NX with the sunrider is like not having a top on. Or you could pull it and put in your apt.

On a 4 door it is going to be pretty tough. Either get the Trektop NX, store the windows in a roll, and use the sunrider, or get an OEM/Supertop.

Sorting any top inside a Jeep, or anywhere for that matter can be a pain. As a fellow apartment dweller like yourself, I feel your pain. I run the Trektop NX and just use it as a bikini top all summer. So, I store the windows inside my apartment and just use the Sunrider feature when I want to be topless.

You may want to look into a Supertop NX or a factory top. Those will fold up behind the rear seat when you want to go topless. They also have the Sunrider feature so you won't lookse that ability.

Hope this helps! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Trektop NX for the win!!!!!! While I live in a house and park in a garage so I dont have some of the problems you have the NX is still your best option. Like previously said you can pull the windows and leave them in your apt or if need be take them with you also when you want to be topless the sunrider feature is rather perfect. I use mine as a daily driver in Vegas so closing the sunrider in the day and popping it open at night is PERFECT. Also when I pull the windows I put a toneau over the back to keep prying eyes from looking in the back (not going to keep people from opening it up and looking if they really wanted to) but atleast it takes work to have a look and with the alarm I had installed it seems to do the job nicely at keeping people out.
