Besttop Trektop NX

Anybody know if any of the vendors have the Besttop trecktop nx in stock and ready to ship. Have had an order in with Quadratec for a couple of weeks and now they are saying it will be sometimes in July before they have any. I have a 12 4 door wrangler unlimited. Thanks in advance.

Try Northridge 4x4 I ordered one on Monday and got it yesterday. They had 29 tops for the JKU when I called them.

I called Northridge and got anwering machine, waiting for them to call back. Says free shipping on their site too. Price is around 650 bucks, still cheaper than Quadratec, if they call back and have any left i will cancel on Quadratec.

Call Summit racing. Their price is way high but they will price match anything advertised online (shipped price). That's where I got mine when everyone else was out a month or 2 ago.

Quadratec has been disappointing lately. The last few things I have attempted to order were backordered as well and since I had an issue with one item I ordered about 9 months ago that was back ordered and they screwed it up I won't bother ordering something from them if it is on back order. I think they are having some trouble with some supplyers????

Congrats. I have been flying around with my top and windows open all week and today is a perfect day for it. I really like this top.

JUST BE PREPARED for the most agonizingly frustrating installation experience.

Cheers,

Ogie

Do you have a link to that write up, I am doing my install this afternoon, only day we have that will be close to the 72 degree recommended install and not raining for a while. The instructions with the top are ok but it is always best to see tips and tricks from those who have done it.

Just go to JK owners forum.com and look in the library write ups. you do not have to register if you do not want to. You can still see the write up. I found it by googling jeep forums.

Cool, I'm glad you posted this. When I tried to order one last month, I was told that they were on backorder until August!!! I called Northridge 4x4 and also ordered one from David today - he said they just got a new batch of these on Tuesday!

I'd rather wait for Amazon to come back in stock and save $100 personally but glad you're happy.

Both Quadratec and 4wd will price match total price including shipping, so why wait?

I just walked in to Northridge 4x4 today and picked one up. He still has plenty on hand now but he said he expected to be sold out by next week. I'm exited about getting this thing on but I haven't worked out the hardtop removal and storage thing yet. I've got a garage with room overhead but I'm looking for the easiest one-man hoist system. Any suggestions?

Finished my install yesterday, the directions with the top were sufficient. The windows were a huge PIA to get on but other than that the install went pretty easily. When installing the rear arch/support in the brackets I found it was easier to roll the top back, put the bar in the brackets then stretch the top forward to close it. Either way it took a bit of effort but there was more leverage in the front than on that rear bar.

I am hoping it gets a bit easier to work with once it stretches out a bit more. My rear windows dont line up with my rear door surrounds quite yet so I still need to do some adjustment.

When driving, there is a whistle in the front from the wind, it looks like the header seal is being compressed in some sections when the top is clamped, is this normal or do i need to make adjustments there?

I had to replace my top because the back zip was giving me a hard time..full of salt. When I put top on and after a couple days in the sun i noticed it was alot more manageable

I bought the Harken hoist from quadratec. I have not installed it yet but this seems to be the one that most people reccomend on this forum and others.
