BestTop TrekTop NX for Wrangler JK

Just installed my TrekTop, and it turned out to be quite a trip. Right when it came in I wanted to install it, so I busted it out, got all pumped up, and got after it. I didn't consider that it was only 50 degrees out. This thing barely fit, and involved some serious stretching. When I was almost done, I couldn't zip down the rear window completely. So today, I went out, tried to finish the job after letting a 60 degree sun beat down on the top for a while, and was able to pull it off and fix the rear window. Has anyone else had this problem? Does the top become easier to take down and put up? Also, how many different variations can be done with this top?

I have had it since the first day it came available. Still a pain to install the rear window. Everything else comes together easier though. One trick I find when it is tight, is to turn the heater on full blast for a little bit to get it nice and toasty inside.

Did you read the installation guide? On the first page it specifically states to install above 72 degrees.

I installed mine on a 75-80 degree sunny day and it was still tight.

This is a frame less soft top and the fabric must be tight in order to maintain its shape.

I got mine the other day and I put it on whrn it was warm outside. I could not get mine to fit right. I ended up having to modify mine. I took the hinges off the end s of the front folding section. if u take the screws out u can move the plastic braket out about 3/4 of an inche and put the screw back in and it makes the world of difference.

Finally installed my Trektop today. Everything went well except for the side windows. How do they attach to the rear door surrounds?

The front edge folds forward. So that piece with the 90 degree angle slides into the slot on the front facing part of the surround.

Did that too, gets easier with time and stretching.
