Bike Transport

I have the Yakima Spare Time rack for my JK, but found myself traveling to a race where it was going to rain on the day I was driving. Never a fan of cleaning a chain twice in one week, I found that the mounting points for the back seat are the perfect spot to strap you bike down!

nice!!!! This is awesome. Did it jiggle around with just the bungees? Could you also run one down from the soundbar?

No kidding nice bike. I had a solution that I used in my Pathfinder and ported over to the Jeep when I bought it. I got two lockable fork clamps off of amazon for a few bucks and screwed them to a 2x4 that I can just pop in and out of the Jeep whenever. Works great.

I did something similar in a Trailblazer years back. I have also seen an older Jeep on the highway with a fork mount on the front bumper. I'd hate to pick bugs out of my chain!

Good info! I've carried my Scott Addict in the passenger seat of my Mazda Miata - with the top up!
