Speaking from experience on my TJ there is enough of a gap at the top that rain does come in.....it is the worst when driving in the rain as it will flow across the bikini top and than seems to get sucked back inside. My thought was the Safari top would be far enough back from the jammers edge that it would not come back into the Jeep.

Not to split hairs but a halftop is different than a bikini top.

I had to get the Sound Bar cover and an extra Mopar kit with door surrounds so it ran me an extra 250 or so but I think it will be worth it. The Quadratec sales guy even gave me the %10 discount on the three items even though they were not in a combo pack.

I've got a 2010 JK Sport. Once parts arrive I will install and report back on how it works in the weather. I'm in MN and spring is approaching so I should be able to test how it works in the rain in the coming months.
Please post how this combo works for you...I am still debating if I should get it for the JK or not. I like it on the TJ but it is not new like the JK is.

Now that I have my Safari top that comes with the trektop NX, I have a extra set of door surrounds that fit a 2dr if anyone needs it for their new bikini top. Knobs included. Bikini is used but has header and two straps are missing (center straps, I used bungees - got it that way and buyer didn't tell me) but I would let it go cheap.

I plan on keeping the duster and windjammer in the Jeep with my safari top when I have the sides out on the trektop nx

I run the three piece in the summer. Don't have a problem with the windjammer being in the way. I have overhead pods on the back of the roll bar and they are covered. They do make a kit that is waterproof.

I have a 2010 Sport and I put my Bikini, Duster and Wrap-around Windjammer on yesterday. I had some issues getting it on but that might have been to due to 60 degrees instead of the 70 they recommend. I love the way it looks (I'll try to post pics later, it's raining now!).

And it started to rain pretty good last night here in Mpls, MN. So I got to see how it held up in the rain and... there was some leaking. I am not surprised and it was not bad really. I got some minor leaking on the seals on the top of the driver and passenger door. I think that was because the extra straps needed for installation without door surrounds were tucked inside between the door seal and the door surround causing water to run down the strap and into the Jeep. There is also some minor leaking coming from the header as well but just a bit.

I have a feeling that as the top molds to my Jeep that less water will get in and eventually none. I do plan to go at it with some 3M Scotch guard and maybe some silicone sealant after it all dries out.

Anyhow it was fun to drive and I think will be awesome once the warm weather hits.

I'm not sure which of the issues you're damning but if it's the minor leakage I would not worry about it. I am confident that once my top relaxes a bit on my Jeep that the fit will be near perfect with little to no leakage at all.

If it's the "sit straight up" issue... you may be out of luck. You can lean your seat back against the Windjammer a decent amount because it has a lot of give but if you did that all the time it may stretch out the plastic window in an odd shape.

Anyhow here are the pics I took in my lot this morning after the rain stopped.

Here you can see it bunches up a bit... I have no explanation. It looks the same on all other JK with this Bikini tops and the instructions do not mention why it's there.

I'd like to try it with an '07-'09 door surround and the Wrap around Windjammer. The Bikini top does not lock into the '10 door suround.

I had to get Mopar door surrounds for installation on my 2010 but I couldn't tell you what year the actual door surrounds are.

The Bikini top slides into a channel on the top part of the door surround. Door surrounds are also required for the Wrap-around Windjammer.

I once drove two hours topless under heavy rain. I didn't use the stereo/nav system while under the rain because I didn't want to risk frying it, but afterwards it was all good, including of course the soundbar.

When I had my TJ I ran the safari and duster for three months a year during summer.
Got damp a few times but not soaking wet.
Wife did not like it when we were going out to eat or anything like.
